Mystery Photo #122

Sniff, sneeze, blow nose and repeat.  That in a nutshell describes my last few days because my hubby lovingly passed his cold on to me.  I really can’t complain though because it’s just a head cold, and there have been much worse bugs going around this winter that we have managed to avoid.  It does mean that I have been feeling awfully lazy this week and haven’t accomplished much.  Oh well, it’s almost the weekend, and the weekend makes everything better right?

I really wish that this photo was better quality for our mystery photo game, but it was just so disgustingly awesome looking that I had to use it.  I can’t wait to see what all your creative and maybe slightly warped minds come up with this week.  Let’s have fun.  Ok, ready, set, go….

  1. Sorry you are feeling poorly, hope you get over it soon. I think it is the side of a piece of fish!!

  2. Vicki says:

    Your cold virus? LOL
    No?
    Maybe some raw fish?
    I give up !

  3. unfetteredbs says:

Hope you feel better. This pic is pretty slimy. Mmmm

  4. Please tell me that didn’t come out of your nose, eugh. Sorry to hear you’ve been unwell. I think it’s actually a close up of a mussel or other slimy shellfish from your Chinese buffet adventure. Looking forward to a quiet weekend after the madness of selling our house and attempting to find one to buy on successive weekends we’ve purposely planned nothing for this weekend. Hope you get well soon

  5. Jeff Sinon says:

Looks like some kind of shellfish, yum!

  6. grahamatlinc says:

I’m sorry you are feeling unwell. Hope you feel better soon. 🙂

It’s a screaming Heebie Jeebie. Heres another I made earlier – :mrgeen:

  7. Looks like a Mussel. Feel better Cindy.

  8. this doesn’t have anything to do with your cold does it?

  9. grahamatlinc says:

Moriarty, what have you done to Watson. It’s alright it’s a Frangipanic cake. 😯

Frying your purse to get out of paying was a bit extreme. 😛

    I’m showing off. 🙄 mwoha

  10. a chicken pot pie gone awry

  11. bulldog says:

I don’t want to look at the other guesses… but you mention a cold and then a photo… !!!! Can it be????
if it is you better go see a doctor right now, your worse off than you think…

  12. TBM says:

Didn’t your mum teach you to throw your tissues in the bin? Gross! feel better soon

  13. Ewww. Some of the guesses are more gross than the photo, but they made me laugh! What does that say? The photo – eel sushi?

  14. I like your phrase “so disgustingly awesome looking”. Like other people, I thought of oysters and similar sea creatures.

  15. disgustingly awesome–have you people been to my house–that is a good description of it

  16. Map of Time says:

No snails were harmed in the making of this mystery photo. Or possibly someone has had another Mikey’s-hand looks-like-bacon accident? Oh wait no – it’s the alien(s). You finally caught it!

  17. Map of Time says:

And so chuffed you think we’re all warped. 😉

  18. chuffed is a good thing isn’t it?

  19. benzeknees says:

I would have guessed this was an oyster but since you were very particular about pointing out you stayed away from all seafood at the buffet last week, I’m going to say some kind of leek dish with soya sauce.

  20. grahamatlinc says:

    This will clear your nose.

The Thing had lain at the bottom of a morbid lake for millennia. Its hideous jaws devouring everything that came near, it had grown into a grotesque leviathan of odious demeanour and gibbous appearance.

The time had come and the Thing of Doom lurched and slithered its repulsive form out into the night air, to be greeted by the horrendous screams of terrified diners being ravaged by vampire cruets.

Gladly it turned its grisly body in the direction of those shrieking in despair. Just then it was gulped down as mere morsel by a ravenous bugblatter beast more generally recognised as a field mouse named Brian.

    Well it passes the time.
    How’s you nose. 🙂

  21. beckyday6 says:

I don’t know what it is but it looks ICKY.

I hope you feel better soon!!

  22. dorannrule says:

A head cold is nothing to sneeze at. That’s my own quote!! Feed it I think. Or is it starve it? Or is that a fever? Anyway, get well soon. Your disgusting thing is probably the entrance to a raw mussel. I did guess that before Mr. Bunny Chow and I am so very proud of that. I love mussels, but not in close ups. Yuck!

  23. wakey wakey Rosebud–we are all ready for the reveal!

  24. Sorry LouAnn, his highness was rushing me out the door. It’s 8:45 and we’re on the road to Barrie already!! We’re going floor shopping for the bathroom :). Ok, so although there were some extremely funny and gross answers yesterday, I think most of you were on tbe right track for your serious answers. It is in fact a closeup of a clam from the Chinese food buffet we went to last weekend. I didn’t eat any seafood but Mikey did :). Have a great weekend everyone!

  25. zannyro says:

Well, of course I got to this too late….I’m going to be nice to you since you have that nasty, awful, dratted cold…but ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww…that was DISGUSTING!
