Sniff, sneeze, blow nose and repeat. That in a nutshell describes my last few days because my hubby lovingly passed his cold on to me. I really can’t complain though because it’s just a head cold, and there have been much worse bugs going around this winter that we have managed to avoid. It does mean that I have been feeling awfully lazy this week and haven’t accomplished much. Oh well, it’s almost the weekend, and the weekend makes everything better right?
I really wish that this photo was better quality for our mystery photo game, but it was just so disgustingly awesome looking that I had to use it. I can’t wait to see what all your creative and maybe slightly warped minds come up with this week. Let’s have fun. Ok, ready, set, go….
Sorry you are feeling poorly, hope you get over it soon. I think it is the side of a piece of fish!!
Thank you :). It’s not the worst cold I’ve ever had, but it sure zaps your energy!
Your cold virus? LOL
No?
Maybe some raw fish?
I give up !
Ewww to the first one :).
Hope you feel better. This pic is pretty slimy. Mmmm
Thanks :).
Please tell me that didn’t come out of your nose, eugh. Sorry to hear you’ve been unwell. I think it’s actually a close up of a mussel or other slimy shellfish from your Chinese buffet adventure. Looking forward to a quiet weekend after the madness of selling our house and attempting to find one to buy on successive weekends we’ve purposely planned nothing for this weekend. Hope you get well soon
Damn, why didn’t I think of that? Now that would have been a good mystery photo LOL!! Ok, you said “attempting”. Does that mean you didn’t find a new house yet?? Whatever the case, I think you truly deserve a relaxing weekend after being so crazy busy. Plus I think you’ve had a challenging parenting week haven’t you? 🙂
We’ve found a house that we like very much buy we’re still organising our mortgage so don’t know if we’ll get it or not. The smallest and largest have swapped roles today with the largest currently screaming his head off and beating my legs because I’ve been incredibly mean and given him cake instead of a sandwich, I can’t win.
You can be my daddy :). I will take cake over a sandwich any day!! Is it chocolate???
Sticky toffee from costco
Yummy!!
Looks like some kind of shellfish, yum!
I’m sorry you are feeling unwell. Hope you feel better soon. 🙂
It’s a screaming Heebie Jeebie. Heres another I made earlier – :mrgeen:
I’ll try that again.
I’m glad you clarified that because I had no flippin’ idea what a :mrgeen: was LOL!!! Thanks for the well wishes :).
Looks like a Mussel. Feel better Cindy.
Thanks Edith 🙂
this doesn’t have anything to do with your cold does it?
I don’t know – what do you think? LOL
Moriarty, what have you done to Watson. It’s alright it’s a Frangipanic cake. 😯
Frying your purse to get out of paying was a bit extreme. 😛
I’m showing off. 🙄 mwoha
You make me laugh, and laughter is the best medicine right? 🙂
It certainly helps. (ssshh – plus a hot toddy). 😎
a chicken pot pie gone awry
Ewww! I love chicken pot pie, but the kind I eat certainly don’t look like that :).
it is reminiscent of my cooking
Ok, so we’ll go out to eat when Mike and I come to visit right? LOL
I don’t want to look at the other guesses… but you mention a cold and then a photo… !!!! Can it be????
if it is you better go see a doctor right now, your worse off than you think…
I thought the same thing–go to emergency pronto
See, I knew your warped minds would like this one :).
that is why you did it–you encourage our warpedness
Yes I do because I want all my blogging friends to be just like me :).
Didn’t your mum teach you to throw your tissues in the bin? Gross! feel better soon
Hahahaha!! That’s gross :). Thank you – you too. Did you to for your hot toddy yet? Cayley brought Daniel home a bottle of rum from Cuba which he hasn’t opened yet. I think he should share it with me tonight. I can’t stand hard liquor, but if it might kill this cold, I’ll do it!!
Rum mixed with blackcurrant cordial is great for a sore throat
Ok Dr. Bunny, I’ll say it’s by doctor’s orders :).
Ewww. Some of the guesses are more gross than the photo, but they made me laugh! What does that say? The photo – eel sushi?
I knew everyone would have fun with this one, and truly that’s what the mystery photo is all about – having fun with my friends :).
I like your phrase “so disgustingly awesome looking”. Like other people, I thought of oysters and similar sea creatures.
Thank you! I knew that something disgustingly awesome would make for a fun mystery photo Friday :).
disgustingly awesome–have you people been to my house–that is a good description of it
Oh boy, now I really do need to come for a visit :).
No snails were harmed in the making of this mystery photo. Or possibly someone has had another Mikey’s-hand looks-like-bacon accident? Oh wait no – it’s the alien(s). You finally caught it!
He’s kind of a cute little alien isn’t he? 🙂
And so chuffed you think we’re all warped. 😉
That’s why I love all of my blogging friends – because you are warped like me :).
chuffed is a good thing isn’t it?
I think so 🙂
LouAnn, perhaps I meant to say cuffed. Yes cuffed that’s it. After reading that Cindy thinks we’re all warped the Head Matron had to have me strapped back in the straitjacket and placed in the padded cell. 😥
Hahahaha!!!
may I join you–a padded cell with 3 meals a day sounds divine–
I would have guessed this was an oyster but since you were very particular about pointing out you stayed away from all seafood at the buffet last week, I’m going to say some kind of leek dish with soya sauce.
I only said I didn’t eat seafood….
This will clear your nose.
The Thing had lain at the bottom of a morbid lake for millennia. Its hideous jaws devouring everything that came near, it had grown into a grotesque leviathan of odious demeanour and gibbous appearance.
The time had come and the Thing of Doom lurched and slithered its repulsive form out into the night air, to be greeted by the horrendous screams of terrified diners being ravaged by vampire cruets.
Gladly it turned its grisly body in the direction of those shrieking in despair. Just then it was gulped down as mere morsel by a ravenous bugblatter beast more generally recognised as a field mouse named Brian.
Well it passes the time.
How’s you nose. 🙂
I see a bestselling novel there :). My nose is a lot better – I just need to get my energy back. Thanks for asking :).
I don’t know what it is but it looks ICKY.
I hope you feel better soon!!
Thanks book buddy 🙂
A head cold is nothing to sneeze at. That’s my own quote!! Feed it I think. Or is it starve it? Or is that a fever? Anyway, get well soon. Your disgusting thing is probably the entrance to a raw mussel. I did guess that before Mr. Bunny Chow and I am so very proud of that. I love mussels, but not in close ups. Yuck!
Trust me I have definitely been feeding this cold. Lots of icecream fixes everything right? 🙂
wakey wakey Rosebud–we are all ready for the reveal!
Sorry LouAnn, his highness was rushing me out the door. It’s 8:45 and we’re on the road to Barrie already!! We’re going floor shopping for the bathroom :). Ok, so although there were some extremely funny and gross answers yesterday, I think most of you were on tbe right track for your serious answers. It is in fact a closeup of a clam from the Chinese food buffet we went to last weekend. I didn’t eat any seafood but Mikey did :). Have a great weekend everyone!
Well, of course I got to this too late….I’m going to be nice to you since you have that nasty, awful, dratted cold…but ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww…that was DISGUSTING!
Hahahahaha!! Glad you liked it :).
So do I. Is is something edible, sort of dish? Take care
Yes, it’s a closeup of a clam.
