Watch where you’re going!!

One final aspect of the casino in Windsor that I wanted to share with you is the lighting.  Everywhere I looked there were colourful and intricate ceilings with beautiful light fixtures that added wonderful atmosphere.  I was so fascinated by the light fixtures that it’s a wonder I wasn’t constantly walking into things because I was always looking up at the ceilings.  This photo is my favourite because of the variety of colours, curves, lines, and shapes.  It’s like a smorgasbord for the eyes! 🙂

Wow awesome shot! It’s so clear and detailed!
How long have you been doing photography for now?

    • Awww, thanks! You made my day :). I have been messing around with photography for quite a few years now, but I just never seem to find the time to learn all of the technical stuff. So, I am truly an amateur. I guess you would say I’m learning by doing.

Haha no problem. 🙂 I think that’s the best way to do it sometimes, people that are so concerned with all the technical stuff can rely too much on that they’ve been taught and forget to experiment.
In that case, I’m double impressed! I’ve been wanting to get a DSLR for a while now, but there are so many to pick from I don’t know where to start lol. 🙂

      • Yes, it’s really about opening your eyes up to what’s around you and having an eye for what will make a good photo. You should get a DSLR if you can!! There is really no comparing the quality of the photos between a DSLR and a point and shoot. It’s so much fun experimenting!! My new camera is a Canon Rebel T3i, and I guess as far as DSLR’s go it’s probably considered an entry level because there are others by Canon that are far more expensive and fancy, but I have always had Canons, and I absolutely love them. You can put it in auto mode when you are learning or you can experiment with other more manual modes. That’s what I like about it! You can even do HD movies! Nikons are excellent cameras too. Have a great day :).

Thank you for the lovely advise! I will definitely look into Canon as a possibility.
I actually had to use an HD DSLR to make a short film, two film trailers, and a music video for school coursework, that’s what sparked the desire to get one! 🙂 I just fell in love with the camera’s!

      • Let me know what you end up getting. It’s so exciting when someone gets a new camera!! My hubby and I went on a drive tonight so I could experiment with my new baby, and it was sooo much fun!!
