Windsor or Rome??

Yesterday I showed you the outside of Caesars Windsor Hotel and Casino in Windsor, Ontario.  Now it’s time to see the inside.  I was actually surprised that we were allowed to take pictures inside because usually cameras are taboo anywhere near casinos, but as long as we weren’t actually in the area where the slot machines and tables are located, we were told we could shoot to our heart’s content.

Walking in the front doors was like being transported from Windsor to Rome in the blink of an eye.  It was really beautiful!!  The lighting was kind of tricky for photography though, and Mike was just itching to get to the slot machines, so I basically put my camera on auto and snapped away.  I’m sure a more experienced photographer would have done a lot better with these shots, but I’m still pretty happy with the results.

  1. Awesome!!! I won’t say this often (as I love shooting in manual mode) – but sometime, auto just gets it right perfectly!!! 🙂 **

you seem to be enjoying that new camera….try using it on program or aperature priority.. I am sure you will be very pleased with the results.

    • Oh yes, I love my new baby!!! I have used the different modes a little bit over the last few years but definitely not often enough. My goal this summer is to really learn what each of the modes can do and experiment more. Thanks 🙂

Nice shots! Did Mike win? I never win when I gamble so I pretty much skip the slots now.
