I think sometimes I embarrass my kids when I am in photography mode. They are always telling me to stop stalking people. Stalking? I don’t stalk. I just capture great moments, and if that means taking pictures of people that I don’t know, then so be it.
On our trip to Isle of Palms, South Carolina last March, we spend a lot of time on the beach. Growing up in a sailing family, I have always loved being near the water. I find it very peaceful to hear the waves crashing on the beach and smell the sea air (in fact, I wish I was there right now!). We spent hours combing the beach for starfish and sand dollars, and it seemed as if this little girl was fond of treasure hunting too. My boys were like, “Wow, Mom, you’re stalking a little girl on the beach”, but when I saw her image reflected in the water on the sand, I knew it would be a keeper.
I also love the smell of the sea and the sound of the waves. Nice photo 🙂

Thanks! Today has turned into a crazy day at work, so I just find myself looking at this photo periodically and it relaxes me.
Very nice capture of a moment. Well done.
Thank you very much!
Haha I am sure when my son learns to speak he will say the same or tell me to
Stop taking pictures of him. Sorry my phone cut me off.
I keep telling my boys that one day they will be very glad that I captured all of these memories. They may think it’s silly now, but that will change, I’m sure!
What a wonderful post thanks. I really enjoyed it very much. You have an amazing blog here.

Great shot. So cute!
Thanks TBM!
The colors are lovely.
Thank you. I find my eyes are drawn to the contrast between the light colour of her coat and then the burst of dark purple of her hat. Glad you liked it!
