Mystery Photo #160

I’m a little apprehensive about posting today because I’m afraid some of you might be mad at me :(.  I mean shame on me – I missed TWO Mystery Photo Fridays!!  I do apologize if it caused trauma for any of you, but the Christmas holidays made it harder to find time to blog.  The funny thing is that for the first time ever we actually spent a quiet Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at home with just our boys, so you would think I would have had lots of time to devote to blogging since I didn’t have to entertain a houseful of people.

However, as I’m sure many of you who are parents will understand, I am starting to realize that Christmas mornings with my boys at home won’t last forever as they will eventually start their own traditions when they get married and have families of their own, so I said the heck with blogging and concentrated on enjoying every moment with my hubby and my kids.  We then enjoyed another turkey dinner with Mike’s family a couple of days after Christmas and afterwards headed to Kingston, Ontario to spend New Years with my family.  We had a great time, but there is something about getting back into the normal routines after the holidays that is always a relief.

I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday season too and are ready to get back to exercising your brains.  Not only is this a neat mystery photo because I think it resembles a few different items, but I also love this shot because of the clarity in the middle and the blurring around the edges.

  1. I’m a bad blogging buddy, I didn’t even chase you or notice. Bad bad Bunny. Well I know we’ve spoken over Christmas and new years but I’m glad it was lovely. Now with regards to the above I’m clueless, yes the depth of field is great but it could be a waffle iron, it could be a pie dish it could be neither of the above in fact chances are it is neither of the above.

  2. top of a thermos or coffee cup–I am so glad you are back–some semblance of normalcy is wanted and needed–glad you had a good holiday though-

    • I am a creature of habit and routine, so I am glad to be back to my regular schedule. I have missed all the fun on Fridays with my blogging buddies :). Speaking of which, I’m going to email TBM and tell her to get the heck over here!

  3. TBM says:

I don’t have a clue. And stop bossing me around! 🙂

A jar top waiting to be opened! 🙂 I hope it’s a jar of chocolate sauce. 😉

That there looks like the top to a travel mug. Mmmmmm, coffee. 😃

It looks like a stove knob to me! Maybe I’m still hung over from all the food over Christmas?

    • You and me both LOL! I was a huge pig this year, stuffing myself to the bursting at every meal :).

      • benzeknees says:

I was actually quite good this year – smaller portions so I wasn’t moaning & groaning after each meal. This is my new reality because large portions affects my breathing too. I eat more small meals though – unfortunately not helping with my weight!

      • My problem is that my hubby just cooks too damn well. He makes these amazing meals that just demand second helpings. However, I am taking smaller portions now and NOT going back for more :).

  7. Awwh, I’m glad you had such a great Christmas and New Years Cindy, and that you enjoyed every moment of it. 🙂

I have to say I have absolutely no idea what this is! I can’t even come up with a silly suggestion, I am STUMPED.

  8. And the winners are………LouAnn and Jeff!!! Woot, woot! It is the lid of a travel mug, looking at the threads. Congrats :).

  9. Sorry I missed Mystery Friday but no need for you to apologize. Holidays are for family 🙂
