It’s time for a fun post!! Every once in a while when I am out exploring with my camera, surrounded by nature, something appears that just doesn’t fit in with the scene before me, and sometimes it can be so out of place that it is humorous. Last weekend my hubby and I took a drive up to Collingwood, Ontario on a beautiful sunny day to do some shopping. We both took our cameras, and on the way there we stopped frequently because of the beautiful scenery. Unfortunately, the sun was at its highest point in the sky and it was far too bright to obtain any great photos, but it was still fun experimenting. At one point we were standing on a bridge overlooking a river surrounded by a heavily wood area, and this was the view.
It was a beautiful view from the bridge, and I was snapping pictures when all of a sudden Mike started laughing and told me to read the sign nailed to a tree partway down the slope. Here is a closeup of the sign.
Is that not the strangest thing you have ever seen? I mean this is a very tiny river, not one fit for boats, so I’m not sure what anyone would be parking. I thought it was hilarious :). What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you look at this?
The first thing that came to my mind was that if you guys owned that property…Mike would have put that sign there on purpose! LOL
Yes, I’m sure he would have, but I wonder what his meaning for “parking” would have been?? LOL!!
This must have been picked up by a hiker and tied to the tree for fun… and he or she gave us all a good laugh…
They certainly did! 🙂
maybe it was a rendezvous point
Maybe…. 🙂
I’m with Bulldogsturf. Must have been a humorous hiker.
I agree – it was definitely someone with a great sense of humour. It sure made us laugh :).
Entertainment value only. 🙂
I love when people do stuff like this to make other people laugh! It makes life interesting :).
A hiking joker.. Great find Cindy! Hilarious in fact. 🙂
It’s lucky I had Mikey with me because he always notices things like this!
very funny indeed…. odd as well!
I love people with a great sense of humour :).
Prankster!
It makes me wonder what else they have done in the area!! Maybe we should have explored more LOL.
Haha! Weird… I think it was a practical joker, trying to play with people’s minds. 🙂
Yes, I do too! It was a funny little discovery in the middle of a great day :).
