View from below of a view from above

A day at the CNE can be exhausting, and it’s often hard to decide what to do next.  So, what better way to catch your breath and plan your next activity than to take a relaxing skyride above the fairgrounds.  This year the CNE travelled back in time and brought back a ride similar to the Alpine Way Gondola which was dismantled in 1994.  Skyride is an amusement park chairlift which takes you from one end of the exhibition to the other (1600 feet) at a height of 42 feet above the ground.  It reminded me of a chairlift at a ski hill.

Although we didn’t go on the Skyride, I enjoyed taking pictures from below.  The first photo shows you what it looks like overall gliding above the midway, and I love the second shot because of the simplicity of the two cable cars against the bright blue sky.

Here’s a final question for you to consider.  Do you think the girl in the yellow cable car took her shoes off on purpose before she got on the ride, or did she lose them during the ride??  LOL 🙂

Hope she lost them during the ride… a shoe from above could be a story for someone on the ground…

When we would go to Disneyland we loved to hop on the sky rail . A great way to take in the park and see what was next or how to get some where. As for her shoes? I’m thinking she is holding them as she tried to wear heels that day. Lol

I don’t think they would let her on the ride without shoes. I really like the first photo. So much color and content.

Oooooh! Dizzying heights again, but at least you were on the ground looking up! I think the girl in the yellow car wanted to feel the air on her toes so her shoes are right there beside her.

I think that birds carried off her shoes!

Funny … we posted similar shots yet again…. I love the composition of the first as it really does lead your eye across the picture…

I hope you get a model release from every single one of those people 😛
