For the second time this week, I have been honoured with an award – this time the Versatile Blogger Award! I am amazed and humbled by the attention that my little endeavour is receiving, and I want to thank both TBM and Dina Farmer Photography for nominating me for this award. I appreciate it more than you you will ever know because this blog and people like you are really helping me with #6 in my list below.
Here are the rules:
- Nominate 10-15 fellow bloggers
- Inform the bloggers of their nomination
- Share 7 random things about yourself
- Thank the blogger who nominated you
- Add the Versatile Blogger Award Pic on your blog post
Let’s start with the 7 random things about me:
- I can actually be pretty random, and I love to laugh and act goofy.
- I went to Europe on a school trip with my son, and now I have the travel bug but no money to travel.
- I’m a sucker for electronic gadgets.
- I would love to write a book someday.
- I’m a tiny bit obsessive compulsive (my kids laughed at the words “a tiny bit”).
- I was extremely shy as a child, and I still don’t have enough self-confidence, but I am working on it.
- I am a chocoholic!
There are so many wonderful and inspirational blogs out there, and I have barely scratched the surface, but these are 10 of my favourites so far. I have already nominated 5 blogs for the Liebster Award this week, so to be fair to everyone I am nominating 10 different blogs this time. You should check them out because they are all special in their own way.
THank you so much! And congrats.
You’re welcome. You deserve it!
Congrats! I was also a shy kid and I’m working on it, but if you put me in a large group I’ll clam up completely. Yeah chocolate!
Thanks from one shy kid to another, and I am totally with you on the whole large grop thing!!
Thank you very much for the nomination! What a great idea!
By the way, I totally agree with your #2…and if you don’t mind, I think I’ll live vicariously through you a bit by reading about places you’ve been and I haven’t! 😉 I especially love the picture of Charleston, SC in this post: https://photosfromtheloonybin.wordpress.com/2011/11/18/peace-and-tranquility/ ! After I read On Leaving Charleston by Alexandra Ripley, I’ve always wanted to go there, and your picture is EXACTLY how I pictured it while reading the book! I’ll definitely be back to see what other places I can daydream about on a rainy day 🙂
You are very welcome! I love your blog – it is very interesting and thought provoking. There is nothing better than the written word, and I too dream of working with books in some way. The best job I ever had, believe it or not, was working in a public library as a teenager. Now I have a boring, unfulfilling job (which was necessary while raising our children) but I am working for a company doing book reviews on the side, and I love it!
I have already written my blog for tomorrow, but check it out on Wednesday, and I will post some pictures of the beautiful old houses in Charleston just for you. It is hands down one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen. Thanks, by the way, for checking out my blog.
Thank you so much for including me… what a great surprise!!!
My pleasure. I absolutely love your blog. You never fail to make me laugh!! Thanks!
