Mystery Photo #108

I don’t want all of my mystery photo regulars to get bored, so I’ve decided to change things up a little bit this week.  It’s actually because this photo is just too funny not to share, but it will still require some guessing on your part. My hubby is a strange creature.  He likes to save his change.  Now, I know you are asking yourself what’s strange about that?  It’s good that he likes to save money right?  However, he takes it to the extreme.  If he goes to buy a coffee at Tim Horton’s, he will pull out a 5 or 10 dollar bill to pay for the coffee even if he has change in his pocket.  That’s right, he NEVER spends his change.  He puts it all into a big plastic bottle, and he loves to dump it out periodically to count it.  I think he’s a little bit obsessed LOL!!  However, the end result is great because eventually he rolls the change, takes it to the bank, and that’s the money we use when we go to the casino or out to the movies.  At this time of year he rolls his change for Christmas shopping, and I usually benefit from that, so it’s all good :). The other night before he dumped the coins out to count, he suggested that I should have my mystery photo followers guess how much money is in the bottle, and he posed for a picture with his stash which turned out to be a really funny photo.  I hope it makes you giggle like I did.  So, let’s see who can get closest to the correct amount in the bottle.  For you bloggers not from Canada, the bottle contains mostly dollar coins, 2 dollar coins, and quarters.  Let’s see what you can do with this one.  Ok, ready, set, go…….

P.S.  Office Christmas party last night.  I don’t drink, but I drank.  Feeling a little shaky this morning LOL!!  And I have to go to work.  What was I thinking?

You drank? Wow. Drink lots of water today. Lots. And beer does help with the jitters. Just saying. As for the amount my guess is 312.75. We have a jar for change but I keep dipping into it for “secret” pub trips. Don’t tell the Better Half!

  2. TBM is on it today, she’s just so excited to be back in the world of the internet that she had to beat me here. As for the money I’m going to guess that there’s $211.50

  3. Vicki (from Victoria A Photography) says:

    Mmm, what’s a quarter? .25cents?
We don’t have those in Australia.
There’s $172.25 cents in the jar.

  4. you drank because you have to work today–TBM is right–lots of water

  5. This is too funny Cindy. I have a confession to make I also save my twoonies, loonies, and quarters in a big bean pot. Okay I’m going to say there’s approximately $655 in there.

  6. Don’t spend it all at once!

  7. bulldog says:

$274.75… sure I’m right… did this once and got a right fright when we cashed it in… one doesn’t realise how much can build up… love the photo… probably how Hubby looks to you after drinking as a non drinker…

hah, so funny Cindy, as i will do the exact same thing as Mike does. i know it does sound strange but i like to know i always have cash on hand and it has come in handy a few times. i say 822.75. BTW EVERYONE, CINDY HAS PROMISED THAT WHOMEVER GUESSES THE CLOSEST ….GETS THE MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM MIKE AND CINDY ♥

  9. beckyday6 says:

Whoa, I feel way out because I was going to suggest about £25!!! But maybe it’s the currency thing? 😛 OR I’m just terrible at guessing, LOL.

  10. M & D says:

We know and we hope we get a nice BIG Christmas present!!!!!!!

  11. grahamatlinc says:

I’m getting the hang of this and not going to do any screaming.

As every Martian should know, the head goes in the bottle.

  12. grahamatlinc says:

Cents ! I detect no sense whatoseover 🙂 🙂 but $350 (I’ve just discovered what the $ sign on my keyboard is for – another mystery solved).

Water; You can make rehydration salts by adding a finger/thumb pinch of salt and small palm full of sugar to I litre of water (oh, wash handies first). Hope you feel better. 🙂

  13. by the way, Mikey looks adorable

  14. benzeknees says:

I’m feeling $222.16! I’ll have you know I once won a jar of jelly beans this same size by guessing the number of jelly beans in the jar (not to put off the other guessers, just saying). Love the pic of hubby!

  15. Map of Time says:

There’s $294.75 in it and you’re going to use it to buy books and camera accessories. 😉

  16. hey it is almost 8:30–where is the answer?

  17. Sorry LouAnn, I’ve been doing laundry and stuff. Ok, so most of you were WAYYYY off, but the answers kept me smiling all day long :). It is truly amazing how much change adds up, and trust me I almost broke my back carrying it to the bank!! Irene was closest with her guess of $822.75, but the actual amount is….get ready for it….$1,230!!!! So, I should get a really good Christmas present right?

  18. dorannrule says:

$630.00! But the best part is the obsessive look on Mikey’s face!

  19. Vicki (from Victoria A Photography) says:

So…. my guess was way off too.
Maybe a jar is a better savings account than a bank!
I’ll have to try it out.
Isn’t it amazing how much money can fit into half a jar!
