Mystery Photo #149

Gobble, gobble, gobble :).  It’s not only the start of the weekend here in Canada, but it’s also Thanksgiving weekend, time to stuff the turkey and ourselves.  I love eating turkey and stuffing and yummy pies for dessert, but most of all I’m looking forward to three days off.

Tomorrow Mike and I are heading to Elora, Ontario to take part in the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk.  I found out about it after it had already taken place last year, so I was determined to go this year because it looks like a lot of fun.  Now, some of you may be surprised that I was able to convince my hubby to go with me because he’s not into photography as much as I am, but it will probably make a lot more sense when I tell you that there is a casino in the Town of Elora.  So, you see, Mikey has an ulterior motive :).  On Sunday, we have family coming for Thanksgiving dinner, and with my husband cooking, I am quite sure that none of us will be able to move off the couch after we’re done.  Monday will hopefully be a day of total relaxation.  I hope all of my fellow Canadians have wonderful plans for this holiday weekend too.  Happy Thanksgiving!!

Before I start getting ready for my turkey coma, let’s play the mystery photo game.  Ok, ready, set, go…….

  1. Happy thanksgiving. We save turkey for Christmas!!
Anyway I think it is a cannon.

Medieval pommel horse for gymnasts. Not sure I would like to swoop down between the things.

Happy Thanksgiving and I hope Mikey wins big so you can come back here.

  3. It’s a canon. Have a great long weekend Cindy. Happy Thanksgiving.

  4. Oops I’m a little later than normal this week, I wish you and yours a happy thanksgiving and hope you get on brilliantly with the photo walk, I’ve got friends coming from London to stay so can’t go on the one in Cardiff that I was planning to. Anyhoo this looks like a cannon to me

  5. bulldog says:

well happy thanks giving to you in Canada… and stuff yourselfs on turkey and all things nice…. as for the photo I’d like to say canon, but that would be too easy and your devious mind has a trick up your sleeve so I will say…. an old see-saw…

  6. GrahamInHats says:

Obviously that is a Mark 4 twin turbo supercharged 8 cylinder food mixer with catalytic converter. Just the thing for Thanksgiving dinner preparations.

I think it may be a cannon with multiple bores.

Have a great Thanksgiving. We don’t have that over here but will think of you in your time of suffering as you wolf huge quantities of turkey. mmm I’m hungry know. 🙂

Your Thanksgiving plans sound great! Photography and gambling are both fabulous activities. May you find lots of photo taking friends and photo ops. And may you win a million at the casino. My guess for your mystery photo is it’s a cannon. 🙂

  8. A cannon!

Happy Thanksgiving. Now that’s a holiday I wish we had adopted over here (rather than Halloween) because THE FOOOOOOOOD! 😛 I think it’s important to be reminded to be thankful as well.

  9. Jeff Sinon says:

That’s obviously the cannon in my front yard. Keeps the neighbors away quite nicely too! 😀

  10. benzeknees says:

Would that be an old-fashioned cannon? Happy Thanksgiving!

  11. benzeknees says:

Now I’ve read the rest of the replies, I can comment to tell you I was very good at a backwards somersault on the balance beam in school for gymnastics!

  12. Good morning my friends. It’s very, very cold (2 celcius), but thankfully they are not calling for any rain, so Mikey and I are off on our photowalk this morning. There are apparently 50 people in our group, and they have reserved a coffee shop for us to gather in afterwards to talk everything over. But, before I go I thought I should reveal the answer to the mystery photo. It is indeed a canon on display in Scotland, showing that you are all very smart this week. I think everyone got it right!! Thanks for playing and have a great weekend :).

  13. sorry I missed guessing this week–but want to wish you and Mikey a heartfelt Happy Thanksgiving and look forward to seeing some of the pics that you take today. If I were to guess–it would not have been a canon but the weapon you keep in your room to stop robbers from taking your cache of chocolate

  14. Cannon was my guess too … just too late. The Elora Photography Walk sounds fabulous and I’m off to google it. Have a lovely Thanksgiving!
