Mystery Photo #145

Don’t worry, it is Mystery Photo Friday, but first I found a poem on Facebook this week that I just have to share with all of my blogging friends, many of whom I know share a love of books and reading with me.  I read this poem, and a smile grew on my face until I was grinning from ear to ear because it paints such a perfect picture of what I feel when I read a great book.  I hope you like it too.

I opened a book

I honestly don’t know where this week went to, but it’s Friday again and time to challenge your brains.  We had a lot of fun last week – let’s do it again!  Ok, ready, set, go….

  1. I’ve been on this one and lemme tell you that you don’t want to need a wee once you’re on. Just started TBM’s latest book, I’m so behind the times, oh and I should also mention that Julia Donaldson’s the Gruffalo is my boys favourite book. Have a great day

  2. TBM says:

Hmmm…I think it’s in London. The London Eye perhaps. Happy Friday everyone!

  3. Could this be the London Eye by any chance? 😉

I absolutely ADORE that quote, I may just have to nick it for one of my Quoting the Quills. 😉

  4. Sure looks like a roller coaster or Ferris wheel.

Looks like an electrical transformer thingy! If it’s a roller coaster I am already dizzy. Love the poem. It’s perfect for the true bookworm and has found a permanent place in your heart. 🙂

  6. GrahamInHats says:

It’ the missing bit of the London Eye. People have been looking for that. Souvenirs do have limits. I’ll tell. 🙂

  7. I too thought part of the London eye!!

  8. it is part of the Ambassador bridge from Windsor to Detroit–you did not really go to Europe–you just hid out at my house in southwestern Ontario and took this when we went casino hopping and to Greektown

  9. benzeknees says:

Is this part of the ferris wheel in London? Liked the poem (I don’t think I’ve ever LOVED a poem) & yes it would make a good addition for your library! How are you enjoying the TV series Outlander?

  10. Good morning everyone. It’s a rainy, crappy day here once again, so what’s a girl to do? Why, go shopping of course :). We’re off to Costco and whatever other stores pull us in. Now, as for the mystery photo, most of you knew exactly what it was – a section of the HUGE Ferris wheel in London – the London Eye. It is awesome! It takes 1/2 hour for one revolution, and there are 32 pods with around 25 people per “pod”. And the view……jaw dropping! Have a great weekend everyone.

  11. I would never be able to get on the huge ferris wheel–I would get so sick, so am glad to live vicariously through you-btw- I was a loyal follower when you were posting from your trip so I know you went to Europe–I was just joshing you

  12. Hope you’re having a relaxing Sunday Cindy. I can’t believe I missed mystery friday but believe it or not I was barely online on Friday. Sometimes life just gets too hectic. I would have guessed ferris wheel…honest 🙂
