It’s July so that means it’s wedding season, and today we are off to my niece’s wedding which is taking place about 6 hours away. We are travelling 4 hours to Kingston, Ontario today to stay at my parents’ house, and then we will do the final leg of the journey to Cornwall, Ontario tomorrow morning. It will be so nice to see everyone because we all live so far apart these days that weddings are sometimes the only time I see some of my family, and I can’t wait to see my niece, Lauren, as a bride. She is absolutely gorgeous, so I know that as a bride she is going to take our breath away.
I have a lot to do this morning to get ready to leave, so lets get on with the mystery photo. Give it your best shot. Ok, ready, set, go….

Have a great time at the wedding, We’re all off to Poole to see my best buddy and his newly pregnant wife (she’s been pregnant a while but it’s new to the world) I’ve not seen them since new year so I’m expecting debauchery and mayhem especially as I’ve found a local farmer who makes his own cider and sells it cheap in plastic containers. yummy…..

I also see this as something slushy in a long-stemmed glass, but even if that’s correct, I’m afraid I have no idea what the contents could be. My experience in such things is quite limited.

Must be a slush puppy…. when reading the top portion of the post the top of the photo was showing and I immediately said oh that is easy it’s someones bald head…. but I go with the slush puppy, if it contains alcohol all the better… just don’t have too many and drive the police might just have you repeating you ABC’s backwards which I can’ t do without a drink let alone with one… have a good time and be careful on the road… we want you back next week….
I very rarely drink because I get hangovers too easily, but even if I do, the reception is in the hotel we are staying at, so it’s all good! And thank you for caring about my safety – gotta love blogging friends :).
Hmm, I don’t think I’m sophisticated enough to do this one. 😛 I keep bouncing back and forth between some kind of fancy cocktail or some kind of funk sorbet dessert. Looking forward to seeing what the answer is!

You’re right – they are pretty used to it. I am freaking out because the third book in one of my favourite series of all times comes out on July 15th!!! It’s the All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness, and the third book is called The Book of Life. I’m in a discussion group for it on Facebook, and the excitement and anticipation is like nothing I have ever experienced before. I have a signed copy of the book on order from Barnes and Noble in the US, but it probably won’t get here until I’m ready to leave for my trip, so I may have to buy the ebook too :). Only you would understand why I can’t wait LOL!!
You know, I spotted that you had liked a review of the third book in that series and I just knew you were going to be freaking out with over-excitement!!! Hangover prevention/cure. Hangovers are mostly caused by dehydration. Alcohol being a diuretic. About 1 pint of water before bed is a good preventative. About a pint in the morning is a passable cure. Enjoy the event. 🙂

Good morning everyone. It’s wedding day and it’s warm and sunny out. Yayy!! You are all very smart, or just like to drink a lot LOL, because it is a closeup of a fancy drink that I had on my girl’s weekend at the camera show. Don’t ask me what it was called, but it was yummy and bloody expensive I might add. I don’t drink often because I would much rather spend the money on books :). Have a great weekend!!
