Girls’ weekend!!!! Yahoooo!!!!! I just have to make it through 5 1/2 hours of work today, and then I’m off to the city with two friends that I’ve known since high school. We have a hotel room for the night, we’re going to enjoy dinner out at a restaurant, and then on Saturday we are spending the whole day at a photography show. Not only do we get to attend awesome seminars all day and shop ’til we drop, we also have VIP tickets to see Chris Hadfield, the famous Canadian astronaut who spent 5 months on the International Space Station. I just finished his biography, and it was fascinating as hell, so I am beyond excited to hear him speak in person and hopefully get to meet him afterwards.
As a result, I may be a little late with the answer to the mystery photo tomorrow, but I’ll try my best not to forget :). Let’s start the fun now though and hopefully it will make my day go faster. Ok, ready, set, go….
I’m baaack, hope you have a fabulous time on your girls weekend, photo appears to be grass clippings, evidence of your springtime in the garden.
Thanks Bunny :). Are you all settled in now?
We’re still surrounded by boxes and Mrs BC has no socks but otherwise it’s going as expected. Hopefully we’ll have proper Internet by this time next week too.
Awesome! I’m glad everything is working out for you :).
Many many thanks
🙂
carpet
a plant
my hair
Ok, which one is it? Carpet, a plant, or your hair? LOL!!
my hair–that is the definitive answer yet I am somewhat spooked by the fact that you have a picture of it–are you skulking around my house again–if so–I keep the chocolate in a drawer by my bedside
Mwah ha ha! I have been stalking you for a long time, and that chocolate is gone. Haven’t you noticed?
A cactus plant
Since I’m with you this weekend, please remind me to post the answer in the morning before we get mesmerized by all the photography stuff :).
I don’t know what it is, but it seems to be getting closer. 😮 Generally, it’s an eat or be eaten plant.
…..and it’s after you! Run!!!!!
I didn’t come here to be insulated. 😎
It’s ok buttercup, I was just kidding :). LOL
and loved your word choice by the way :).
Someone needs to shave
Shhhh, don’t tell anyone my nasty little secrets LOL. By the way, if you have emailed me at all this morning, my email is all buggered up again, and I am not receiving anything :). So, I will tell you now – have a fabulous weekend!!!!! You deserve the break. Enjoy.
You too!
Thanks :). Only 2 1/2 hours to go!!
Hope that’;s not something the cat brought up… or for that matter brought home… and if it’s something some one you know passed… tell them to see a Doctor…
Ewwww!! Do you really think I would post something like that? Actually, I probably would, but I don’t have a cat LOL!
Ooh, I’m a bit stumped by this one. Some kind of plant, hehee. 🙂
I think this is an extreme close up of some kind of cactus plant, maybe aloe vera?
Enjoy the weekend and the show. Ok…I know…it’s the head of your chia pet!
Did you go this year? We had an absolutely fantastic day!!
!!!Buttercup!!! LOL. I can’t have a stiff upper lip with a name like buttercup. Wellington would be turning in his gravy. I hate to think just how outrageous you will be tonight.
I think the thingy is an aquarium plant. Possibly aquatic hornwort which you may be using to make mystical potions. If onthehomefrontandbeyond has hair like that, then she must be a mermaid.
Let me see; Martians, chocolatey people, witches brew, mermaids and some very strange objects. By comparison, I feel quite normal. 😀
LOL 🙂
A close up of seaweed! Meanwhile, have a glorious weekend and enjoy every single minute! 🙂
I did Dor – every single minute :).
I’ll go for a cactus or succulent leaf close-up.
I know this is a very late response, but my day was so incredibly crazy busy that I am just home and sitting down now at 9pm. Chris Hadfield was totally amazing, and I feel so privileged to have heard him speak. We lined up for an hour afterwards to meet him and were the last 3 people chosen to see him. Everyone after us was turned away because there were just too many people and not enough time. I shook his hand, and the three of us had our picture taken with him, and we were ecstatic. It is a day I will never forget! We also attended seminars and shopped ’til we dropped :). And it was wonderful to spend the weekend with two very dear friends from high school who I don’t get to see that often.
Ok, now for the mystery photo. Most of you were on the right track in that it is a plant. In fact it’s a shot looking upwards at the part at the top of the stem of a big daisy-like flower that holds the petals. I know there’s probably a scientific name for it, but I don’t know what it is. Great guesses everyone and thank you for being patient.
