She’s here, she’s finally here!! Mike’s sister gave birth to a baby girl early Wednesday morning, and she is absolutely beautiful. It has been a long time since there has been a baby in either one of our families, and when I held her in my arms for the first time, my heart melted, and I wanted to steal her and take her home with me. Mike went to see her last night, and he is quite smitten too :). I have a feeling we are going to be doing a great deal of spoiling over the next little while LOL!
Holding a brand new baby just a few days before Mother’s Day brought back a ton of memories for me and reminded me how much I have loved being a mother over the last 21 years and always will. I cherish every moment with my children. For all you mothers out there, I hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day and get to spend some special time with your children. And to my mommy, I’m sorry I can’t be with you for Mother’s Day, but I love you very much, and I will be thinking about you all day :).
Now, on to our Friday fun. It’s mystery photo time, and I think I have a really good one for you this week. Have fun with it. Ok, ready, set, go…..
Dude, where’s Jeff? I need to cheat. Congrats on the little one.
I think everyone slept in today. Even LouAnn hasn’t shown up yet. And where the hell is Bunny? Thanks! I’m a very proud Auntie :).
sorry It was TBM’s fault, I’m here now though
Congratulations on become an aunt and a very Happy Mother’s Day to you. Boy this is a tough one. All I can think of is some type of board game.
Thank you and Happy Mother’s Day to you too. It’s great to have our boys home for Mother’s Day isn’t it? Oh, and I forgot to mention on this post that Bryan got a letter from Conestoga College congratulating him on making the Dean’s Honours List, so I’m a proud Mommy today too :).
😀 Congratulations to All 😀
Thank you, but where’s your guess on the mystery photo???
Congratulations! Send pics! 🙂 Happy Mother’s Day to you too. As for the Mystery Photo, I like the idea of the board game but that’s because I am short of independent thinking.
Maybe it’s a star to give to the male turkey for getting the job done :). Anyone who doesn’t understand this reference, go to Dor’s blog for the story. I now call her Peeping Dor!
Is it something like travel scrabble?
It always confuses me that you guys have Mothers Day at a different time! And a new baby too, awwwhhh, super cute. xD
When is your Mother’s Day? I didn’t know it was different. And yes, Emily is super duper cute :).
Here it’s in March!
You learn something new every day :).
How wonderful for you to be an aunt (again?)! I’m scrabbling to come up with something clever for your photo; I’m with Edith that it looks like a board game, but I don’t readily recognize it…
Yes, again :). I have many nieces and nephews, but they are all grown up now. This is the first baby in a long, long time.
just got back from an early trip to the city (windsor)–I agree it is from a board game to–but I think it is from the intergalactic game of Scrabble where all words are worth 50 points
congrats on being a new aunt and happy mom’s day too
Ooh ooh, what did you buy me? Did you go to Chapters?? Happy Mom’s Day to you too LouAnn :).
no–it was utilitarian stuff–nothing good
Bummer!
The Twansilvanian silent radio theatre would like to have a go:-
Ve zink it is de travelling scrabbling. Und now Igor vill play ze wiolin vhilst ze Frank and Steinies do ze tapping dancing. Oh no zay have fallen oft de taps und into ze zink. Ve now go oft ze air untul ze next fool moon. Gerzundheit. 😛
Oops, better fish them out of ze zink :).
What is “ze zink”. You’re very strange. aaaagh
Yes, I am :).
Sorry sorry sorry, I’m late, but I blame TBM because of her I had a craving to go to the hard rock cafe, so we did. Still haven’t moved house or even got a fixed date in place, bloody lawyers.
Still I think that this is the decoration on some sort of masonic chair or ceiling.
Off out gallivanting in London town tonight with people I’ve not seen since junior school, could be weird, could work out brilliantly.
Well, have fun – you deserve it!!
Is it the center square on a Scrabble board? Happy Mother’s Day Cindy!
Thanks and right back at ya :).
Thank you Cindy and I love you too!! Happy Mothers Day to you as well!
Love Mommy
🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
Tiles on the hospital floor or wherever the baby was born? Or the centre of a board game?
How exiting to have a new baby in the family. This just makes for the perfect Mother’s Day present.
Yes, and she was born just two days before her grandmother’s 80th birthday!! What a wonderful present :).
Good morning everyone :). Yes, it is part of a game as most of you guessed, and benzeknees is the ultimate winner by guessing that it is the centre square on a Scrabble board. Nice job! By the way, I’m not sure if you saw in one of my replies above, but I need to brag. My oldest son, Bryan, received a letter in the mail this week congratulating him on making the Dean’s Honours List at his college!! I am so incredibly proud of him that I just had to share :). Have a great weekend everyone.
Yeah, I got one right! First time in a long time! Congrats on Bryan’s great achievements!
Thanks, and I knew you could do it :).
Yaaaaayyy, I got one right for once!
Yayyyy 🙂
Ahem, excuuuse me, but did you not catch that I said, in my comment that clearly pre-dated that of Mr. B by two hours and two minutes, that I was–and I quote–“scrabbling” to come up with something clever? I thought–apparently erroneously–that my having oh-so-clearly mentioned “Scrabble” (although I didn’t think it necessary to emphasize my cleverness by making the initial letter upper-case) would have sufficed as a legitimate response to your challenge. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury…?
we are all winners–but I have to admit my guess was based on your comment–I guess guessing it was the centre square was the deciding factor–but who can really read Cindy’s mind? Not even Mikey I will bet………..
You have to be crazy like me if you want to read my mind LOL!! Happy Mother’s Day by the way :).
Happy Mother’s Day to you too–I find you an inspiration
Wow! Really? I think that’s the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me. Thanks LouAnn – extra chocolate for you today :).
yummy
Hahaha!! I didn’t even notice that you said “scrabbling”. I think my mind read it as “scrambling”. Boy am I ever dumb! So, yes you are a winner too :). Of course, you are always a winner to me Gary!!
A new baby!! How wonderful!! Congratulations to everyone!!
Thank you so much :).
