Today’s mystery photo defines my day yesterday, a day that had my nerves so on edge that I had to come home and have a shot of rum. And I don’t even drink!! That’s all I’m going to say for now, but tune in tomorrow for the full story.
In the meantime, see if you can figure it out. Ok, ready, set, go….
That’s a car key. And if you don’t know already, these new fangled keys are hideously expensive, so don’t lose it! 😀
in honour of you son’s G2 you have given him a key to your space ship!
Nobody drives my chocolate spaceship but me!!! LOL
I call shotgun!
Okey dokey 🙂
If those are brake pads, then you needed a shot of rum to get over the expense of replacing them..
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen one, but I think car key. I haven’t owned a car in ten years so I could be completely off base–usually am. Happy weekend everyone!
Same to you :).
Sorry to hear of your bad day. I’d guess it was whilst driving. Glad to know that you are OK. 🙂
Oh yes, everyone is fine :).
About the mystery object.
I’m sure it was very funny imobilising your boss, but naughty. Now play nice and put the grindleflafflewasser back up his nose and reboot him. 😀
It’s Friday – I don’t want to reboot the boss!!
Ok just give him an ordinary kicking then, 😈
A memory stick thingy for the computer? Were you having computer problems at work? Did everything shut down? Did you lose all your photos? Well, I hope you are calm and collected today although it would be fun to see what you write when you’ve had more than a shot of rum. 🙂
I love your terminology – memory stick thingy LOL!!! I am feeling much more calm and collected today, and trust me, if I had more than a shot of rum I wouldn’t be able to write at all :). I’ll tell you the answer tomorrow, and rest assured that everything did turn out ok!
I try not to read the comments before I comment but I did this time around. Ok I say its a car key as well but I’ll be honest I actually thought it was part of a seat belt.
It looks like the female part of a seat belt mechanism.
It’s a blender. No, wait… a giraffe.
No silly, it’s a flower :).
A flowerpot
Holy shit I’m late today, flew back from Malta yesterday after a week of wonderful food, beautiful weather (well better than London anyway and most importantly totally lacking in sobriety. I think the above is probably some sort of car key.
Ok, here’s my stressful Thursday story. Most of you were right that the mystery photo is one of the funky new types of car keys from my Dodge Charger that doesn’t even look like a key. I used that because my story is to do with cars and driving. My youngest son, Daniel, tried for his G2 driver’s license a couple of weeks ago but failed because he wasn’t far enough into a turn lane because after our horrible winter the lines on the road are virtually non-existent. He did everything else perfect! So, he booked a second test for this past Thursday. He was a little later taking this test than some teens because he wanted to wait until he had his own car, which he does now – a used Chrysler Sebring. Being used, there have been a few things that he has had to get fixed, but we thought everything was done.
So, on Thursday morning we went to leave for the test and the damn car wouldn’t start!! We backed my car out onto the street and then had to push his car out to position both cars so we could boost his. Finally, we were on the road for the hour drive to the test centre. On the way, Daniel tried to clean his windshield, and all of a sudden the windshield wiper fluid squirter wouldn’t work. Now you have to realize that if certain things on your car don’t work, they won’t let you take the test, so by this time my nerves were shot!! We stopped at a gas station to manually clean the windows, and Daniel put down one of the back windows to ask me something. Then the stupid bloody window wouldn’t go back up. Holy shit!!! With me pushing on the button and him pulling up on the window, we finally got it back up. Phew!!
We finally reached our destination, and my nerves were so bad waiting to see if they would allow him to take the test that I thought I was going to puke everywhere. The tester did ask him to turn on his wipers and sprayer, but I think because the weather was clear he let it slide that the washer fluid pump wasn’t working. Off they went, and after a nail biting 20 minutes or so they were back, and he had passed!! We went home and had a shot of rum together to celebrate and calm my nerves. Daniel is one happy guy because he can drive to school and work himself now, and I know he is going to enjoy the freedom!
Gotta go. I’m off to see author Kelley Armstrong in Brampton today, and it’s snowing out again so I need to give myself lots of time. Grrrr!!! Happy Spring :).
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL! I would have gone home and had a drink too!
Yikes!!! I got to attend a round table discussion with author David Hagberg while participating in a book fair…yesterday…while you were having your “day from hell”. He asked me to send him fifty pages of my manuscript….YIPPEE!!!
NO MORE SNOW!!!
OMG that’s totally awesome about your manuscript!!! Have you sent it yet????? I just know it’s going to be a huge success :). I had a great time at Kelley Armstrong’s book signing yesterday, and I’m already over half way through her new book, Sea of Shadows. It’s the first in a new YA series, and I can’t put it down! She had a great Q&A session that revealed a lot about her as a writer and then I was able to get four books signed, and to me there’s nothing better than an autographed book. As for snow, there’s a special weather statement for our area again with the possibility of heavy wet snow for tomorrow night. YUCK!!!
The book signing sounds like it was awesome!!!
It’s fun to hear and see the author in person…sometimes they’re SO different than you expected!
I can’t believe you’re going to get MORE snow…..
;[ ;[ ;[ ;[
I think the rain has started and it is supposed to get quite heavy in some areas. Because the town where I live is at a higher elevation (which you would never guess to look at it) they are forecasting that it will change to snow during the night. Blah!
Did you get the snow???
Only a little bit :). We still have quite a bit of snow, but it is melting slowly, and I have just said screw you Mother Nature and I have put away my boots and gloves. HA! Take that Mother Nature!!
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL! 🙂
Hmmm…it must have been a horrid day if you took a shot of rum and you don’t drink! Did you get the giggles? 🙂 About the photo, is it a pouch of some sort?
No giggles – just a feeling of calm :). They mystery photo was of my car key which doesn’t look like a real key at all.
In my opinion, rum is much better in a Coke. But I’m not much into shots. that might shock some.
No, I’m not shocked. I know you’re a beer girl :). As for me, I hate rum with or without Coke, but I needed a quick nerve calmer LOL!
Actually my fave is gin and tonic, however, those go down too quickly and then I don’t get up quickly the following morning, if at all.
LOL!! No, not you?!?!
