A Guiding Light

I find I’m a woman of few words tonight (don’t you dare laugh :)), so I’ll keep this short and sweet.  Remember me saying that I had a special spot by the water at my cousin’s resort up north where I loved to sit and read?  Did I also tell you that there was a guiding light in the woods to lead me there?

Great shot. You captured that sun burst just right.

I’ve taken many a photo of a winding path and sun shining through the tree foliage in the distance. It’s a favourite photo subject of mine (and not always easy to capture I might add).

    • Thanks Vicki :). I love experimenting with shots like this too, and I discovered on that trip that the smaller the aperature, the more defined the sunburst. Wait until you see the ones I got on the water!!

This is a great capture, and not an easy one.. I know I’ve tried myself, unsuccessfully I might add… a woman of few words, certainly did bring a smile to my face, actually even a laugh… sorry..

Great shot, and I’m sorry, but I couldn’t help laughing. Few words: you?

    • I know, it’s hard to believe, but I just sat there staring at the screen. Maybe it was because I had been sitting outside for a couple of hours reading in the rare October sunshine and warm temperatures and my brain got all fuzzy :).

Reminds me of the olden days when that could have been a picture on a chocolate box. Beautiful.

There’s a soap opera called Guiding Light – or maybe it WAS a soap opera a long time ago. When you get my age you need all the guidance you can get! Your photo is glorious by the way.

    • Oooh – glorious!! I like that description :). By the way, my mom used to watch The Guiding Light and As The World Turns every single day, so I do remember them. She still calls shows like that “her stories”.
