Mystery Photo #84

One more day of work until the weekend, and this particular weekend is going to be awesome!  First of all, Mikey and I are taking a road trip to Kingston, Ontario to visit my mom and dad, and the weather is supposed to be great.  While there we are going to stop in to see my big, goofy brother and his girlfriend and probably hit the casino in Gananoque.  Second, it’s Canada’s birthday so it’s a long weekend, and a four day weekend at that for Mike and I because we took Tuesday off as well.  Now, why did we take Tuesday off you ask?  Because of the most important thing of all – Tuesday is my birthday.  Wahooooo!!!!!  Who wants to work on their birthday?  Not this girl :).  And, my daddy promised to get me a cake (I’m really hoping it will be chocolate – I know you will all find that hard to believe).

So, without further ado, let’s get this party started.  I’ve been letting you off easy the last couple of weeks, so you’d better get the old thinking caps on.  This one is a doozy!!  I don’t know though – you’ve all been getting really smart lately because I have been training you so well (pats herself on back), so maybe everyone will find it easy.  I sure hope not – oops, did I say type that out loud?  LOL!

Ok, ready, set, go….

  1. ok I’m just going to ramble here because I have no idea what this is, but did you know that the phrase “its a Duesy” refers back to the Duesenburg limousines on the 20’s and 30’s. Anyhoo, part of an umbrella, or kitchen wisk or elephant, dunno, you’ve got me this week

  5. Ok I think I know! It’s the handle/grab bar in the new TTC cars (that’s Toronto Transit Commision for you non-Torontonians). The ones that I can’t reach 😦 Have a great weekend Cindy and a very Happy birthday to you 🙂

  6. seriously Ms Loony–did Irene not teach you your lesson well enough–seriously? I am so upset I don’t even want to wish you a Happy Birthday because once again you are trying to drive us crazy. Happy Birthday anyway though–and I hope you get your chocolate cake.

That’s so funny, my mum asked me to look at a date on the calender this morning and the day I was looking at just so happened to say in small print Canada day or something like that. Now I know what it means! 🙂

You know, I feel these photo’s are unfairly biased, this is obviously something you guys have that we in the UK don’t! (And I have to say that because I literally have no clue what this is!!!!! Wahhh!) 😀

Ok, okay I’ll give it a go a) a freaky torture device b) a transport hand holdery thing c) a dystopian swinging clock.

    That’s alll I’ve got. :S

I hope you have a great birthday!

    • Awww, it makes me feel so good to hear that your calendars over there mention our Canadian holidays :). As for the mystery photo, I’m sure you have these over there too, but that’s all I’m saying until tomorrow. Don’t worry, I would never be unfair to my British friends. Thanks for the birthday wishes, and by the way, I finished another book!!! It was so good I finished it in one day. You absolutely have to read this one. It’s called Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo, and it’s amazing!!

obviously i have NOT taught you a very good lesson the last time. perhaps i will have to get together with the homefront lady! are you sure you want to leave home AGAIN???? have you alerted the neighbours this time and told NOT to drink!!! now all these people are surely not giving this a real good go and i don’t blame them, as it is a hard one this week. of course I know what it is but i cannot tell.(probably cuz i don’t know either..haha) have a wonderful long wkd. and a very happy bday my friend ❤

  15. ifleury says:

oh geez, i just realized, it is something that you bought with your casino winnings isn’t it?

  16. hey I have been patient enough– what is the answer–or are you enjoying your long weekend too much to pay attention to us?

  17. I’m so sorry!!! I was so busy this morning surprising my parents by showing up at 8am at their house that I forgot to reveal the answer to the mystery photo! This week Amy, Edith and Becky got it right – it is the handle/grab bar in a subway train in Toronto. Great job you guys :). See that wasn’t so hard LOL!

  18. ifleury says:

now how on earth would anyone from DUNDALK know THAT??????

  19. Wheel…. We have wooden carts in India with wooden wheel and axel like this…
