I don’t know about you, but I love wildlife! Unfortunately, my everyday life does not afford me many opportunities to see wildlife other than the normal robins, squirrels, and Canada Geese. So, whenever I am on vacation I always keep my eyes peeled for anything out of the ordinary to photograph.
We didn’t have the chance to go to any wildlife sanctuaries this time when we visited South Carolina, but whenever we drove by water we were always on the lookout for alligators or other water loving creatures. On one outing we noticed a family of turtles basking in the sunshine and stopped to take photos. This guy didn’t seem scared of us at all – in fact, the look on his face seemed to be telling us to hurry up and get it done because he was bored and had places to go. I think this turned out to be a very nice portrait of a pretty regal looking guy :).

It looks like a different interpretation may be in order–it could as easily be…”What took you so long? I’ve been ready for hours hoping for someone like you to come along so I can go into my practiced pose!”

Whoa! Look at the moss on his back! This guy is a veteran who has seen photographers come and go. He’s sticking his neck out for Cindy though! 🙂
I guess after all that time he should be considered a professional model. I wonder if he expected payment? Oops! 🙂

Ah, what a cutie! And are you proposing a new game for me to fail at? He looks like my fifth grade teacher. She wasn’t famous, but I’ll never forget her face. Or how much she smelled of coffee and cigarettes. Yuck! But this guy is much cuter.

I gagged every time she talked to me. She was a good teacher, older, but man she needed mouthwash. I think she smoked more than a pack a day. Of course teaching fifth graders can’t be stress free.
Definitely not stress free with what the little brats are allowed to get away with in class nowadays. I could never be a teacher – I would kill them all LOL!!!!
I’ve worked with kids from the ages of three to twenty. The three-year olds were easier than my college students.
