Well, we were up at 4am this morning and on the road by 5am, so my eyes are not going to stay open much longer, but I wanted to give you a little taste of what we saw on our first day heading towards South Carolina. These photos were taken in the mountains of West Virginia, and it is my favourite place to stop and take pictures on our way south. They had quite a bad snowstorm yesterday and you can tell it was still very cloudy, but fortunately the roads were totally clear by the time we arrived. I could have stood there and stared at these mountains forever :).
By the way, I have found a new way to spell total contentment. It’s BISQUIT WORLD!!! I had a hot bisquit slathered in butter today, and it was absolutely amazing! Ya, I know, that kind of broke my diet, but it was soooo worth it :).

What a lovely overlook, especially with the pastel and diffused natural treatment! Oh, and while you’re talking about biscuit bliss, be sure to have some with sausage gravy. Now that’s as good as it gets!

Yes, Mike and I have always loved road trips. Someone asked me the other day if we were flying down, and I said “no way” because we love exploring on the road!! That’s why I just commented on your blog that we coukd easily detour your way on the drive home. Let me know if you are interested :).

Actually, it was warmer there than it was at home believe it or not LOL! Still cold but bearable :). And don’t worry, I’m only half-assed dieting while I’m away :).

Yummmyyyy! I could eat those bisquits all day long, and that was only one thing on a huge menu of yummy things :). I have to go now – I have to look up if they have Bisquit Worlds in South Carolina!!!

I really want to take a trip to West Virginia/Virginia in the summer or fall because I think it’s one of the most gorgeous areas I have ever been to. I just love mountains!!!

We are Becky! It’s just beautiful here, and I think South Carolina is glad that we are back because my parents have had pretty yucky weather since they got here, but today when we arrived the sun came out, and it is the warmest it has been in weeks :).

It was cold, but not near as cold as at home, so I was actually out walking around without a coat on LOL!!
