I know this is a photography blog where I try to share my best quality photos, but sometimes photos are meant to be shared not for how well they are taken but for what they convey.
On Saturday, we drove down to Kitchener-Waterloo to visit Bryan and his girlfriend, Cayley, at school. Mike had made a huge batch of homemade chili last weekend, and we told Bryan and Cayley that they could have the leftovers. Good excuse for a visit right? We met them at Bryan’s residence at Conestoga College, and then Cayley took us out for lunch at Wilf’s, a restaurant on campus at Wilfred Laurier University. We left Wilf’s completely stuffed and spent the rest of the afternoon shopping and visiting, with me grabbing hugs whenever I could.
Cayley’s university is named after Sir Wilfred Laurier, the seventh prime minister of Canada, who is often considered one of Canada’s greatest statesmen, so of course we were not surprised to see a statue of Laurier in one of the university’s snowy courtyards. Cayley and I love to have fun when we are together – we’re not old stick in the muds like the guys LOL – so we decided to show Laurier some lovin’. This isn’t the best photo, but I thought it was cute :).
Now I’m no stick in the mud, but kissing a cold statue with the off chance that it is so cold your lips stick to it… no way… but it would have given me a good laugh if there had of been a bit of sticky lippy going on .. with two embarrassed women with lips stuck to a statue… lol
Sticky lippy LOL!!!! Ok, so you are going to continue your day with some more laughing because I don’t mess around, and I really did plant my lips right on his cheek. Then, when I realized just how cold the statue was, that exact scenario went through my mind, and I changed it to an air kiss instead before it was too late :). Thank goodness because I really don’t do well with embarrassing situations, especially on a campus full of young people who would have really enjoyed a laugh at the expense of an old broad LOL!!
Sorry Dear but I would have enjoyed the situation with all the young people… the scenario keeps playing itself out in my head…LOL…
My hubby says to tell you that he was thinking how pissed off I would have been if he and my sons had to pee on us to warm it up enough to get our lips off!!! LOL 🙂
Which one is the old broad anyway? Hard to tell. 🙂
Awwwww!!!!! You, Dor, are a gem, and I’m so glad to have you as a friend. Thank you – that made my morning :).
We have lots of statues here you can kiss if I can have some chili.
Oh, you would love Mikey’s chili. It’s delicious!! I will bring you some for sure :).
You two are such flirts!!!
Well, we figured even old Wilf deserves some lovin’ this close to Valentine’s Day :). LOL!!
I sure wouldn’t like it if my husband had to pee on me to get my lips off a cold statute. Eeewww! Great blog post and great laughter.
Nancy
Me neither LOL!! Isn’t it great how our blogger friends can take an average post and make it so much fun? This is one of the reasons why I love blogging so much :).
I totally agree. It’s not the first time I’ve seen comments get hijacked for a good ol’ party.
Ha ha that is so cute!
Thanks :). We had a lot of fun that day – Bryan’s girlfriend is awesome!
