Last weekend was a real treat for me because most of the snow melted and we were able to enjoy a day out wearing light jackets and running shoes. However, I think Mother Nature has snapped to her senses and remembered what season it really is because the temperatures are dropping fast this week. By middle of next week it is supposed to be down to -17 °C. Brrrrr!!!
So, if you live in my neck of the woods or other even colder places, you might need to thaw out your brain cells before trying out the mystery photo this week because I think it might be a little bit challenging. I know, I can hear the groans already :). I could be wrong, but I believe that this week’s offering is going to produce a lot of varied answers from different categories. I’m thinking this because my test subject, my son, came up with three very different guesses before he actually got it correct. Daniel is so smart that it’s scary sometimes, and it’s very difficult to stump him. He did get it without any hints though, so let’s see if Jeff Sinon is smarter than a 16 year old LOL!!
Don’t be shy now. No answer is a stupid answer, so let the entertainment begin. Ok, ready, set, go…..
sometimes you are really mean you know, I’m clueless so going to go with a heat mat on a kitchen counter because I have to say something. I empathise with the cold it’s snowing big time here as I type. debating whether to brave it and take the kids to town or just stay here in front of the fire (the heatings is on the fritz)
Wahhh!! I’m not mean – I’m just helping you to challenge your brain LOL :).
btw many thanks for all the sympathy re my teeth, they’re still not 100% right but much much better thank you all
You’re very welcome 🙂
Hot dogs that I would never eat. If Jeff gets this right this week I’ll be really impressed. And Mr Bunny, it’s snowing in London. I just tried taking my dog for a walk and he opted to come right back inside and cuddle on a blanket. Not sure if your kids will be the same.
Jeff is late to the game this week isn’t he?
I know. I had to wing it.
TBM, you know the first thing that came to my mind upon seeing the photo was the red hot dogs that they sell in the Philippines.
we used to get red hotdogs in Zimbabwe too, colcom was fantastic for pork products
actually they still do them

my staffie is not very bright and she’s loved all this snow we’ve had in Croydon. wish I could say the same
Super nibs!
The inside of the door of a space ship. I know because I was once abducted by aliens and came back with grey hair. They were quite nice, gourmet cooks, and I got to read as long as I wanted. They interrogated me gently about Cindy’s seemingly over consumption of chocolate, which is the fuel they use to gas up their space vehicles. They were quite alarmed that she was eating up all their fuel.
Show off. You just had to top my hot dog comment 🙂
it took awhile – you made it hard
Oh I’m sure it took you a whole nanosecond to top hot dogs.
Trying to get me fired again aren’t you LouAnn?? Bursting out laughing in the middle of a law office is not really a good thing you know LOL :). What the heck did you put in your coffee this morning? Whatever it was, I need some! And what kind of a stupid alien race would waste chocolate that way. That’s just wrong, and they are not welcome here!! 🙂
I worked in a law office for almost five years–hated every moment of it–one of the lawyers told us to work harder and faster–thank god I did not directly work for him
got the job because my of my boyfriend now husband in his dad’s law office–his dad was just great though–
I think anyone who works in any aspect of law has to be smart–I especially thought the real secretaries did most of the work (I was not a real secretary)
I’ve been here for 25 years this September, and trust me I’m not a huge fan of lawyers!! And you are so right, the assistants do most of the work but don’t usually get the recognition they deserve. I’ve always wanted to work somewhere with books (book store or publishing company) or do something that involved research, but I stayed here to be close by for my kids and to be home for them right after school. I think it has made a difference because they are both great kids. One day I will have my dream job I hope :).
Give up…..
Awww, don’t give up Bulldog. Come on, take a guess :).
The underside of a grand piano…
Pool sticks or cue sticks lined up together.
i say it’s some kind of grill ❤
a hot trivet????
Sargent stripes????
I want to say red licorice lined up on a counter however I would also guess some kind of a pot place mat… however, it could be some kind of grill looking at the botton of the strips there seems to be a bit of colour change…then again that could just be a reflection from the counter…… hmmmm… the spacing seems a bit uneven so could it be that each stripe is an individual?
This is really tough! It’s metallic – because of the scrapes on a couple of the tines. Red is not the natural color because of the paint spray missing on the bottom edges of the tines. It is not a grill because there are not enough scratches on the tines from cleaning plus there are no discolorations from where food was cooked. I think it’s the part of a futon under the cushion which does not get used without the cushion.
Boy, you guys really tried hard this week. I’m very impressed with the thought processes going on (and the humour was great as always too). However, unfortunately nobody on WordPress got it correct this week, and I don’t know what the heck happened to Jeff :). A friend of mine on Facebook did guess correctly first thing yesterday morning, so too bad you guys didn’t check my Facebook LOL!! This is actually a close up photo of a hair pick, or the type of comb used for afros and really curly hair styles. Got you good this week didn’t I?
Awwh really? I was gunna guess pencils. 😛
Somebody else said pencils, and I thought it was an excellent guess because it certainly looks like that! Happy Saturday Becky. It’s about 1:20 pm here, and I have finished all the chores that have to get done, so I am going to spend the rest of the afternoon reading on the couch under a warm blankie :). I’m about 1/3 of the way through Beautiful Creatures, and it’s awesome!! I can’t wait for the movie on February 14th! Hope you are having a great weekend :).
Ahh cool, I’m not the only one with that train of thought then!
I’ve just gotten back to uni and I literally find it impossible to read here, for some reason it’s really hard to concentrate especially with a roommate. 😛
Thanks Cindy, it’s weird, you’re talking about the snow just melting and over here it’s just fallen! Lol. It’s 6.44pm here. Ahh sounds like a great plan, and I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying Beautiful Creatures! At this rate I’m not sure I’ll be able to read it in time for the movie.
Thanks Cindy, you too!
I can understand why it’s hard to concentrate with a roommate, but don’t worry, your books won’t go anywhere. They will patiently wait for you to have time to read :). The reason today was a perfect day for reading for me is because my hubby is working until about 7pm. The house is very noisy when he’s at home LOL :). My son, Daniel, is home, but he is downstairs playing video games and watching Supernatural on the internet, so it’s nice and quiet upstairs. I get very few days like this!!
Haha yeah I know, but I want to read them now dammit! *Crosses arms and stomps feet* 😛 I have two reviews to write as well, and I kind of feel like I need to write them first before I read any more, in case I start forgetting about the books I need to review!
Oooh sounds perfect, 🙂 and I love Supernatural! Do you watch it as well?
Hahaha!! You made me giggle with your virtual temper tantrum :). I know what you mean about book reviews. I do reviews for an online company, but I keep crossing my fingers that they don’t send me any because I really want to try and reduce my TBR pile, and when I have reviews to do they have to take top priority :(. As for Supernatural, I remember watching it when it first came out, but that was when my boys were little, and I just didn’t have the time to sit down and watch it every week, but I really should find out what website Daniel is watching it on because Dean and Sam are hot, hot, hot!!! I may be getting older, but I’m not dead yet, and I can certainly appreciate a hottie LOL!!!
LOL. 😛
Ooooh do you get paid for it?!? If so, jealous. 😛
You definitely should!!!!! Dean/Jenson Ackles NOM NOM NOM NOM. Seriously, I could just watch Supernatural with the sound off and I would still be glued to the screen. Let me at him. 😛
You might have to fight me for him LOL!!!!! My BFF from work and I always fight over Damon from Vampire Diaries too. He’s yummy!! As for the book reviews, it’s only $15 per review, but I get to keep the book too (usually an ebook for me because she knows I have an ebook reader but sometimes a real book too). The website is http://www.allbooksreviewint.com/, and you could send a message to Shirley Roe who runs it to see if she needs more reviewers. She is an author herself.
don’t gloat my friend. I have the aliens on my side
LOL!!!!! Wait a minute, I thought aliens were really smart, and if you have them on your side, how come you didn’t guess the mystery photo correctly??? Tee Hee!!
they were on another planet and had no cell phone connections on Friday. Morris the Martian called me yesterday and told me what it was, but it was too late–Friday mystery photo had been revealed.
How did I ever get along in life before meeting you? You make me laugh every day!! 🙂
then my mission is accomplished–glad to have a friend in you too! 🙂
Agggh YES. I loveeeeee The Vampire Diaries! *swoooon*
Thanks Cindy! (I couldn’t find the reply button so I figured I’d just carry on at the bottom. :P) I will look into this and see what I think. 🙂 I may take a better look at it towards the end of my uni course when I will have a bit more spare time, I mean, getting payed for reviewing books!?! That’s gotta be hitting the jackpot. 😛
Ya, too bad it doesn’t pay more though right? LOL
Haha indeed! 😛
