Trees have such beautiful lines, curves, and textures. As I have mentioned before, whenever I am out exploring nature’s wonders, I am always drawn to trees – the stranger, the better. A normal, straight tree is beautiful, but there is something about unusual trees that really appeals to me, whether it be an intricately shaped dead tree or a living tree with a trunk and branches that wind and curve everywhere creating exquisite beauty.
I am also fascinated by the root systems of trees, and when I saw these trees with their intertwining roots, I knew it would make an excellent photo. As I sit and contemplate this picture, my imagination goes wild. You might think I’m crazy, but it almost looks like the trees have been trying to escape earth’s hold on them and walk away, like the Ents from Lord of the Rings, but have become so mixed up with each other that it is now impossible. Or, if I really put my imagination into overdrive, I see two dancers on the right side, the one lowering the other into a deep dip. You can almost see his arm wrapped around her, holding her just above the ground.
Ok, now that I have you phoning to get me checked into the loonybin, am I the only one, or does your imagination get creative when you look at unusual trees?
Now that has character.
I agree! It really does :).
Life is powerful and in trees this it what it does to survive. Nice capture!
Thank you – glad you enjoyed it!!
Does fuel the imagination — and I can see what you are saying–(is your straight jacket too tight–is this how to spell straight jacket–never used it in a sentence before, or it is straitjacket?–I know you know the answer)
How did you know? Do you have any idea how hard it is to type in a straitjacket?? LOL
yes, I do (lol)
Love it! Sadly I don’t have much imagination… 😦 But I always appreciate the unusual lines of trees like this. 🙂
Thank you, and you do so have an imagination. I’ve seen it in your blog :).
I do the same thing with clouds!
Me too – love the cloud game 🙂
That is one hell of a tree….or one hell of an imagination…. whichever…. I LOVE IT……
It’s one hell of a tree with a little bit of craziness thrown in for good measure, and I’m glad you love it!!! Your comment made me smile :).
