Creepy Crawly Critter

Today I am journeying back into my archives once again.  It’s really fun to do that occasionally because it brings back so many memories.  This particular photo was taken a few years ago when my son, Bryan, was taking part in a track and field competition.  Out of the blue this creepy crawly critter landed on Bryan’s hand while we were waiting for the next event to start, and he was instantly the centre of attention.

It makes me giggle looking at this photo because of the differing reactions of the kids around Bryan.  The boys, of course, gathered around in fascination while most of the girls kept their distance in disgust.  The boys, therefore, took every opportunity to scare the girls.  Typical boys LOL!!  I’m pretty sure this is a type of beetle, but I have no idea what it’s called.  Does anyone out there know what it is?

“Eeeewwwwwwww!!!” Isn’t it nice we are both into creepy crawly critters. It’s that time of year I guess. No idea what this one is but he sure is ugly. 🙂

  2. OK you got the typical girl reaction from me. I hate creepy crawlers. Good capture though.

  3. Its name is Anastasia and it is a rare breed of non-albino mini reptiles that only look like bugs

I honestly jumped when I scrolled down and saw it. He’s kinda cute though, once I got over my initial reaction. I don’t want him on me though. No Thanks!

I don’t know, but it looks like it could be of the scarab family. As long as he doesn’t sting, or stink, I’m fine with him. 🙂

  6. While, I don’t consider myself a girlie, girl, that insect would’ve made me squee. It does, just looking at the picture.
