Rain, Rain, Go Away!! (please)

I love weekends, but it’s very frustrating when you want to get out with your camera to capture some new blog material and it ends up raining all day Saturday and Sunday.  So, I hope you won’t mind if I share a few more photos from a couple of years ago from the top of Old Baldy.

The colours aren’t as vibrant in this shot, but I just love the way the trees frame the view.

This photo shows the ski hills on the left patiently waiting for the snow to arrive.

I think this is one of my favourite photos from that day because you can see such a variety of vegetation.

On a side note, Bryan and his girlfriend, Cayley, were home from college this weekend, and we had a wonderful visit.  They both seem to have settled into college/university life with no problems, but we made sure we fed them nice home-cooked meals while they were home because you never know what they are eating at their residences LOL :).

All I remember from Residence hall food is Ice Cream and potatoes…..glad he’s doing well 🙂 How’s Mom doing???

    • I’m actually doing a lot better than I expected – thank you for asking :). I felt a little down after he left yesterday, but the neat thing is that when he comes home to visit now he actually wants to spend time with us. When he was living at home, his girlfriend lived 40 minutes away, so when they did get together they just wanted to be alone. Now they are going to different schools but in the same city, so they see each other a lot more.

  3. Fantastic images Cindy. I know what you mean about the rain. I got very wet this weekend on my workshop out in Tobermory. My biggest concern was keeping my camera dry 🙂

I lived off of Taco Bell when I was in school. Great photos and if you don’t like the rain, send it this way. I love it. Miles hates it though.

Those first visits are always so special. 🙂 Love the colours of the trees – WOW! Must’ve been autumn? You are welcome to send the rain my way, we need lots of it right now! 🙂

    • Yes, they really are :). When Bryan first left he was doing the Mr. Independent thing and kept saying that he didn’t want me phoning or texting him every day, and he was not coming home on weekends, so I was kind of worried that I wasn’t going to hear from him at all and that would kill me. However, once he got settled in and realized I wasn’t going to bug him every second, he seemed to relax, and now I think he quite likes hearing from us and visiting now and again. He will be up again for Thanksgiving in 2 weeks, so I can’t wait! By the way, you can have the rain. We’ve had enough now :).
