I have neglected a lot of things this summer because it was so beautiful out plus I spent a lot of time getting Bryan ready for college – helping him apply for student loans, getting his banking in order and shopping for all the things he needed to live in residence. As a result my house cleaning was pretty much non-existent over the last couple of months and I haven’t kept up with organizing my photos or backing up my computer (among other things). The only hobby that didn’t suffer was my reading because that’s what I love to do in the summertime when the weather is nice :).
Because I start work every day at 9 am, I always draft my blog at night and then when I get to work I just hit the “publish” button. On weekends I often draft my blog during the day, but today (Sunday) I was on such a roll getting back into a routine and successfully checking items off my to do list (yahoo!!!) that I decided to wait and do my blog at night.
Well, apparently that wasn’t such a good idea because at supper my hubby made the suggestion that we all go to a movie. What??? This is really really rare for Mike to want to go out on a Sunday night, so Daniel and I jumped at the idea!! Plus it was kind of a reward after getting so much work done! So, I am typing this on the way to the theatre (a 45 minute drive) and I will have to quickly insert the photo before I go to bed.
I know I said I was going to show you more of my cloud photos from yesterday, but those will have to wait because they still need some editing. In their place I am going to post a random picture I took of myself taking a picture of myself. I was driving through downtown Toronto with the hubby one day, trying my hand at street photography, when I noticed I could see myself with camera in hand in the car’s side mirror and decided that would make a fun shot!
Have you ever taken a picture like this? I’m pretty sure that most camera owners have at one point or another :).

I love going to the movies so I would have jumped at the chance as well. Hope the movie was good and I enjoyed the photo. I haven’t taken one like this, but I don’t own a car and I haven’t driven one in some time. That is a major plus to living in cities. Of course, I have to carry all of my groceries and beer home. Thank goodness the store is right across the street.
Oh, how your comment made me laugh :). I was picturing you struggling along the street with your arms loaded with beer!! What the heck would you do if the store wasn’t so close? Living without a car definitely has its pros and cons doesn’t it? It would be so nice to not have to worry about car repairs and insurance, but it is definitely nice to just hop in the car when you need something. As for the movie, we saw The Possession which was a great deal of creepy fun. It will never win an award, but we love horror movies :).

Thank you!! I was thinking about you many times during the movie because I think you would have had nightmares for sure. It was VERY creepy :). As for the popcorn, I was still so full from supper, I only had a couple of handfuls LOL. Hope your first day of classes was amazing!!
