Stop the presses!! The headline today has to be changed to reflect what an incredibly exciting and important day it is. It’s my baby’s 16th birthday!!!!
Yes, 16 years ago today Daniel came into this world and has kept everyone smiling ever since. As a baby, Daniel always had a smile on his face, sometimes devilish and sometimes angelic, but he never failed to keep us entertained. He would look around at the world with big round eyes that more often than not earned him the nickname “bright eyes” and figure out something to get into, or as he got older ways to aggravate his older brother or make us all laugh until we had tears running down our faces. His latest is doing imitations of accents from around the world, and he is incredible at it!
His accomplishments already are amazing, the most memorable being when he won first place for our entire county in public speaking. That was an extremely proud moment for us!! But let me tell you, nothing will ever surpass his dancing skills which will become apparent as you watch the following video LOL. Daniel was about 7 years old at the time, and you will see that it was quite clear that he loved being the centre of attention. Now, he has matured and has become quite the amazing young man who I know will do incredible things in his life, but his family and friends will often revisit this video on my Facebook page to have a good laugh at the cute little sexy dancer that he was.

Thanks and yes he knows all about it. I had him “approve” it the other night. He’s a good sport with an excellent sense of humour, so he was fine with it. I’ve had this video on Facebook for years, and many of his friends are also my friends on Facebook, so they have all watched it over and over again :).

I heard a good one the other day at the memorial service when one friend mentioned to another that his stomach is getting big… he answered that his brain is learning so much he can’t store any more info up there, so he’s storing it in his stomach area..
Age is all relative.. my mind says I’m still 21 but when I try to catch up to the younger women they can now all out run me…
My hubby is always bugging me about the weight I have been gaining in the last few years, so I am definitely going to use that excuse on him tonight. I love it!!! As for your last part about the younger women, I almost spewed out my lunch I was laughing so hard. I now have this visual in my mind of you chasing a bunch of younger women yelling, “Wait up girls, I’m only 21, really!!” LOL
Happy Birthday to Daniel. Great video. I have 2 boys myself and they’re alot of fun and always keep me on my toes.
They are a lot of fun, and I think they have been a great deal easier to handle through the teen years than girls would have been LOL. Thanks Edith :).

Hey, maybe that’s how he could start making money for college!!!! LOL I don’t know where he got it from – maybe music videos. My mom challenged him last night though. She wants to have him recreate the video and see if he can still dance the same way LOL!!! Now that would be funny :).
I’d love to see him re-create the dance – he probably could not do it now!
