Morning on the water

I hope you’re not getting sick of Wright Point Resort yet because I still have so many beautiful photos to share with you.

Sunday dawned with a beautiful clear blue sky and warm temperatures, so Mikey decided it was time to try his hand at fishing out on the lake.  Around 8am we left the dock in a 16 foot aluminum boat and headed out to try our luck, only to have to turn around and return to shore because we had forgotten the life jackets :).  Duh!!!  I don’t know if it’s the same in other countries, but in Canada it is law to have a life jacket for each person in the boat. Finally, we headed out again and started exploring.  Not being locals, we didn’t know any of the secret fishing spots, but after four hours we had discovered a few and Mikey had caught about six decent sized small mouth bass, so he was a happy boy :).

Here are a few examples of the natural beauty that surrounded us that morning.  How much more peaceful can you get?

I love this first shot because of how the sun shining on the water actually looks like a cluster of stars

I have always had a thing for photos where you see the bow of the boat in the foreground instead of the whole frame being taken up by the landscape ahead, so I decided to try it myself.  Now, I must admit that it would have looked better with a narrow, more colourful canoe, but I was still quite pleased with the effect.

  1. This is beautiful – but does not make up for Jeff being so annoying–okay Jeff if you are so smart what are the winning numbers for 6/49 this week (although I am sure if you know you would not share them with me, as I am being annoying!)

Nope, not tired of your Wright Point entries… the Starry Water shot is fabulous and so are the others. I want to live there (on the shore of course). 🙂

    • Thanks Dor! I would love to live there too. I have always said that if I every won the lottery, I wouuld definitely buy a place on the water. There is nothing like the sound of the water lapping on the shore :).

  5. I wish I could be out on the water. I bet it was nice. 🙂

We never get tired of WPR! Love the “Starry Lake” photo Cindy. Did you get any of the full moon on the lake when you were here? Lovin’ your blog!!!

    • Hey Dianne!! I’m so glad you’re following and enjoying my blog :). The sunlight really does look like stars doesn’t it? And no, I didn’t get any full moon photos while I was there, but I did get some a few days before at home that turned out awesome. You can see it on my Aug. 7th post called Fly Me To The Moon.
