It’s official! My holidays have begun, and I made it through my last day of work without going to jail. I can hear you now – WHAT??? Well, the boss has been a bit of a *#@&% (5 letter word that rhymes with chick) this week because he can’t handle stress and has temper issues, and he yelled and swore at me twice! The second time was particularly harsh, and if it hadn’t been for the fact that I was starting holidays, I think I might have killed him. Oh, don’t worry, I’m kidding – I would have only seriously wounded him :).
Anyway, I stayed out of jail and now I’m ready for about a week and a half off, so let the celebrations begin, and what better way to celebrate than sharing some fireworks photos from a couple of weeks ago. Every July in Mount Forest, Ontario they put on an amazing fireworks show done to music, and many people show up because besides the fireworks there are amusement park rides and games, magic shows for the kids, an old car show, and much more. I didn’t do as well with my fireworks photos as I have in the past, but they are still pretty cool.
I Love firework photos!!! These are great Cindy!!! Enjoy your vaca!!! Jealous!! 😉 **
Thanks Xandre!! My hubby and I are going away for a few days about a four hour drive north of us where he can fish and I can take lots of pictures :). It will feel kind of strange though this year because it’s the first time we’ve gone somewhere without the boys – they’re teenagers you know and don’t want to do stuff with Mom and Dad anymore :(. My hubby is really excited though because his work is most busy in the summertime so he usually can’t take time off. This is the first time he has taken summer holidays in about 10 years, so he really deserves it!!!
let the celebrations begin – I am not sure I would stay at a job that had a boss who swore at me–but we have all gotta eat
I have been at this job for 24 years, believe it or not, and it is definitely time for a change, but there’s not much out there. I keep looking though :).
good luck – but in the meantime enjoy your vacation and take some more beautiful pics
Wow!! The fireworks are gorgeous!!! So glad that you and your Hubby are getting a break!! Your boss sounds like one unhappy person :(. Can’t wait to see pics of the trip!, have FUN!!!
Thanks Suzanne :). If my hubby has his way, there will be lots of fish photos LOL. He loves to fish, but his work is so busy in the summertime that he doesn’t have much time for fishing.
I hope you catch lots and lots of fish! Sounds like it will be wonderful 🙂
Terrific job on these Cindy. Enjoy your vacation.
I definitely will Edith :). Thanks!
I’m glad you stayed out of jail. My life would have been sad without your posts. Then again, maybe you good tweak the system and be one of the first people to blog behind bars! 🙂
Awww, you’re so sweet!! Hmmm, blogging from inside jail – that could be interesting LOL.
I know right?! Hahaha!
Enjoy your holiday… and when you get back just kick him on the shin and smile… he’ll wonder what the hell has come over you…
I love the way you think :).
looks like I’m going to Mount Forest next July!!!
Hey, does that mean you live in the area?
I think I have been there… when I was lost driving through the region… ended up in Arthur too… is that close?
Yes, Arthur and Mount Forest are only about 20-30 minutes apart by car. We live in a small town called Dundalk which is about 40 minutes from Mount Forest, so it wasn’t too far for us to go.
Enjoy your holidays. Sounds as if you need them.
Yes, I do :). While my kids were growing up, I always found that I took a day off here and a day off there – you know, for school trips, doctor’s appointments, etc – but didn’t very often take a full week or more off at one time. Our boys are teenagers now, and this will be the first time that my hubby and I have planned a little getaway for a few days by ourselves. It’s nice to be able to leave the boys on their own, but it’s also a little sad too because they want to do their own thing now. The times, they are a changing :).
Ooooh so pretty! Very cool pics, especially since firework can be difficult to capture, they never tend to look as good as the real thing, but these are awesome.
Enjoy your holiday!! 🙂
They are difficult to capture aren’t they? One of these times I will actually sit and watch the fireworks instead of fiddling with my camera throughout the show LOL!!
Dude, you have vacation now. You can catch a plane! The triathlon is in Hyde Park, then the marathon finishes by Buckingham Palace…and do I even have to mention the pubs! Nice photos!
Ok, calling the airline now!!! But we will have to stay at your place because all of the hotels are booked. Just think of all the organizing I can do in between olympic events and trips to the pub LOL. We were just watching some of the Olympic coverage on TV and saw that our men’s rowing team screwed up today and didn’t even make it to the podium. Bummer!!! Really loved the PDA (public display of affection) by Will and Kate though at the cycling event. That was funny! See you soon – our flight leaves at 4:15 pm this afternoon. Mikey says thanks very much for your hospitality!!! LOL!
Those fireworks photos look plenty good to me.
A happy vacation
In your northern nation.
Thanks Steve!! 🙂
Have a blast!!
Thank!! 🙂
Joy to the world!!!
LOL!!
I am playing catch-up again… Haven’t been able to blog for quite a few days, so I’m way behind again! Love the fireworks. Enjoy your vacation, it sounds as if you thoroughly deserve it! 🙂
We are having a wonderful time!! Thank you :).
