Whether you’re at work, the gym, the grocery store, or a bar, wherever you go lately, everyone is talking about the book Fifty Shades of Grey, a very erotic story that has all women suddenly addicted to reading :). Having read it myself, I seem to always be thinking of everything in terms of fifty shades now LOL.
For instance, Mike and I were out driving around the countryside again recently, and I started noticing how much further along all of the crops are this year than they usually are by the middle of July and how incredibly green everything was. When I started laughing, Mike asked me what was so funny, and I replied that we were surrounded by fifty shades of green! It then sort of became a game to see how many different shades of green we could capture with our cameras. Although I don’t think we quite reached fifty and it was a little too sunny for some of the shots, these are some of my favourites. Who knew there were so many different shades of green on the farms around us?
The photo above is for Dan Traun who commented on my post Mesmerized who thought it would be nice to see the same shot once the potatoes had sprouted
Hahaha… haven’t read it myself – but I seem to fall into crazes when it is already long gone… 😉 **
Trust me – your boyfriend would absolutely love you to read these books (wink, wink). LOL 🙂
I love the Fifty Shades series!!!! 🙂
Me too, me too!! But not just for the obvious reasons. I thought it was very well written and a great character study. The humour was awesome too!
Have you sent your post to E.L. James? I’m sure it’ll inspire a rural sequel.
Stop it Steve LOL!! You’re gonna get me fired – I read your message and I started laughing out loud at work. You might really have something there though. Hmmmm…..
I love the captures showing almost 50 shades…
Thanks :). When you stop and really look around you, it’s amazing how much there is to see. I think I notice a great deal more now that I am looking for photo ops all the time.
Those shots and your strange and unique way of seeing things are amazing! 🙂
Thanks Dor! I am a wee bit strange aren’t I? 🙂
Learning to see…. Its the key to our outdoor adventures with our cameras…. I am staying away from a comment on the books…. : )
Ok, you just made me laugh out loud at work. Everyone is looking at me funny now! Admit it, you love the books :). LOL
or the results of the books!
Okay I’ll admit it I prefer your ‘fifty shades of green. For multiple reasons! 🙂
Looking around me that day it was just so peaceful out there in the middle of the countryside. It makes me so happy that I got out of the city years ago :).
A woman friend of mine referred to it as “50 Shades Of Crap,” after reading it. But I digress. That sure is a lotta green in them pictures. Very nice!
Wow, your friend has to be the only woman on the face of the planet who did not love Fifty Shades LOL. Oh well, to each his own :). Glad you liked my Fifty Shades of Green though!!
Her husband may just be keeping her “occupied” enough to make the book seem tame, who knows? 😉 It’s certainly not on my reading list.
There’s no way that book could look tame! LOL!!
Creative post! Nice shots 🙂
Thanks Adam! Photography seems to be bringing out a creative side to me that I didn’t know I had :).
