This has been a very busy couple of weeks for me. My youngest son leaves on a school trip to England and Scotland tomorrow, and there has been a lot of organizing and packing to do. I have also spent a lot of time with my older son this week getting his finances in order for starting college in the fall. In the midst of all of this, Mother’s Day kind of snuck up on me. It’s not that I didn’t remember – it’s just that I didn’t remember early enough to get a card in the mail for my Mommy. You see, she lives 4 hours away, so I won’t get to see her today. 😦
Then all of a sudden it struck me! I have a blog now, and blogs are a great medium for expressing our feelings. So, I am dedicating this post today to my Mom, a wonderful hard working woman who is a total geek just like me. Many woman her age don’t even know what email and texting is, but she doesn’t let the world get ahead of her. Oh no!! She stays right up to date with a pc, a laptop, an android cellphone, a digital camera, an ebook reader, an iPad, and an iPod Touch, and she knows how to use them all!!
We may live far apart, but not a day goes by that we don’t gab on the phone, so much so that if I haven’t phoned by a certain time at night my Dad starts to get worried LOL. Mommy, I hope you have a wonderful day because you deserve it, and this flower is for you!! And Dad, you’d better treat her right today and not give her a hard time! I know she’s not your mother (that has always been his favourite saying on Mother’s Day), but if you give her any trouble today you will have to deal with me :).
