A foray into street photography

It was a street photographer who inspired me to start this blog (daily dose of imagery), and I find that I am very drawn to blogs created by street photographers who capture human beings going about their everyday lives.

As my hubby and I walked along the waterfront in Windsor, we came across many men fishing in the Detroit River, and it dawned on me that this was a perfect opportunity for me to delve into street photography myself.  As the fishermen concentrated on catching “Walter”, I snapped picture after picture, and these are two of my favourites.

I love the second one…that is a nice fishing “suit.” Great character in these shots.

Very nice, I like the human side of things. But I also like nature photograph a great deal…and ships. Which leads me to ask, the boat/ferry on the other side, do you know what it’s name is, by chance? Great post!

    • Thank you so much for the great comments! I love anything to do with ships as well, having grown up in a sailing family. The boat on the other side is called the Detroit Princess Riverboat. You can Google it for more information, but it was originally a gambling boat down South and then was purchased and brought up North to be converted into a party cruise boat complete with restaurant. Thanks for visiting!! 🙂
