There are no words. There is just disbelief and horror. This was what we faced yesterday in South Central Ontario – Christmas in April. Of course, we should be used to it because it’s not unusual to have snow here in April, but after the very mild winter we had and the incredible warm spell we had in March, it was quiet a shock to the system. I will let the pictures tell the story.
(As an afterward, I drafted this last night before we really got hit with the storm. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s post when you will see what we ended up with – 20 inches!!!! You won’t believe it!)
And a couple more of Mikey’s photos shot from his car on the not so pleasant drive home from work.
Wow a lot of snow, at the end of April! We had a few snowflakes in Slovakia two weeks ago, but nothing like this! Seasons are changing..
Over the last year, we have had the strangest weather I have ever seen. One day you can be in a t-shirt and the next day you are in boots and a winter coat again. I can’t wait for summer!! Thanks for visiting. 🙂
This is so impossible to believe! But of course, your photos tell it all. The very first one shows a wet sticky snow. I can’t wait to see what your tomorrow’s images show. 20 inches? Stay warm and keep on bloggin’. 🙂
Oh it was definitely a shocker to wake up to, that’s for sure, but it led to great photo ops. I ran outside at 6:30 am with wet hair and took about 75 shots before the untouched whiteness was disturbed. 🙂
I would be so bummed…….blehhhhhhh
I was more bummed about the fact that I still had to go to work. My son’s bus was cancelled, but the highways were fine, so I still had to go in! 😦
Ok, I’m actually excited by our 94 today! Yikes! But great pictures tho 😀
94 sounds heavenly to me!! I’m jealous!
Ill send some your way 😀
Oh, please do 🙂
I feel your pain,we had something very similar to this just before Easter weekend! And the weather person is forecasting snow again for this weekend.
It seems like it will never end doesn’t it? Oh well, I will just keep dreaming of a summer with sunshine and hot temperatures. 🙂
C-razy!!! Seems weather around the world has been playing games with us!!! 🙂 **
Yes, Mother Nature has had a wicked sense of humour lately hasn’t she? 🙂
The warm sunny weather has left London as well. We aren’t having snow, but lots and lots of rain.
At least the rain will help things grow. We had such a warm spell in March that all the buds came out early and now after this horrendous cold and snow all of the fruit trees are in danger. Groceries are expensive enough and now it could get worse. 😦 Not good for the farmers!
Unreal. Well, we had showers this past week, which is also unseasonal. I wonder if our winter is going to be as cold as our summer was hot? Keep warm! 🙂
Like I said, something is wrong with Mother Nature – she is very confused :). On a positive note, the snow has been melting a little every day, and there is no more snow in the forecast. Yayyyy!! I hope your winter is not too cold!! That sounds so strange to say – I still find it bizarre that our seasons are opposite. Take care 🙂
