Yes, the falls are a thrill to see when visiting Niagara Falls, but there is something else that is even more exciting, especially if you are a chocoholic, and that is the Hershey Store. When we returned from our walk over the bridge to the United States, I noticed something on top of a building and stopped dead in my tracks. It was a gigantic Hershey’s Kiss. If you think I’m exaggerating, just look at the first picture. It’s enormous!! Now, keep in mind that we had been walking all day, and I think my hubby just wanted to get on our way home, but I begged and whined until he finally agreed to a quick visit to the store of my dreams.
After I started to follow Suzanne’s blog at A Window into the Woods and realized that she was a fellow chocoholic, I just knew that I had to post some pictures for her and all of the other chocolate lovers out there. The light reflecting off of the delectable chocolate bars was a problem, but you will have to forgive me because I didn’t have time to experiment too much.

I know you can't tell from this photo, but that peanut butter cup is about 6 or 8 inches in diameter!!
Reblogged this on awindowintothewoods and commented:
Thank you for thinking of me, and why didn’t you buy me the Big cup on the tray? heehee
Wow, I don’t think I have ever been reblogged before!! Thank you – I feel very honoured. And actually, I did buy you the big peanut butter cup, but I ate it on the way home. Oops!! Sorry LOL. 🙂
LOL!! I would have done the same LOL!
The very first post I’ve reblogged! I LOVED IT!
oohhh that peanutbutter cup is so mine
I couldn’t bring myself to spend $39.99, but I did buy a smaller version, and it was yummy!!!
So it was the side of the peanut butter cup! Very good! You should pop down to Hershey PA sometime. The whole town smells like chocolate, all the time! It’s a fun place we stopped at on the way home from driving to Niagra Falls one year!
OK, Hershey PA is now definitely on my must see list, although I’m sure I would break the scales by the time I got back home. 🙂
Yum! Chocoholics unite! 🙂
Yayyyy! Maybe we should start a WordPress chocoholics club. What do you think?
I like the sound of that! 🙂
Great to see the whole cup I almost guessed correctly. I wrote recently in one of my posts (when I was accepting an award where you have to tell people about yourself) that my sweet tooth would fit nicely in the mouth of a T-Rex. Chocoholics forever!
Wow, your sweet tooth must be a twin to mine!! We are going to start a WordPress chocoholics club – are you in?
Definitely in! And if we can get some British Cadburys even better!
We are chocoholics – we can get any kind of chocolate we want!!! 🙂
They sell Hershey chocolate in an American shop in Glasgow (Scotland). I quite fancied buying one until I saw the price was 1.50 GBP which is about 2.4 US Dollars. Decided to buy a bar of Cadbury’s chocolate at 0.60 GBP instead.
I used to work with a woman from Florida who said British chocolate was much nicer than American chocolate. I have never tried American chocolate so cannot comment.
I have eaten Canadian chocolate all my life and I love it, but I have also had British chocolate which is really good too. I think the best I have had though was the Dutch chocolate that I bought in Amsterdam. Yummy!!!
The continentals are the best chocolate makers.
British Cadburys is 10X better than American or Canadian chocolate! Every time someone goes for a visit, I beg them to bring me back British Cadburys.
Isn’t it Cadbury that makes Flakes? When I was a kid, my best friend used to go to England every year to visit relatives, and she always brought me back Flakes. They make them here too, but they are not nearly as good as the British version!
I don’t know about “Flakes”, I’m a Fruit & Nut fan myself!
For me, putting nuts or fruit in my chocolate ruins it LOL. It has to be pure chocolate. The only exception is chocolate and peanut butter. Yummy!!!
Where’s the dark chocolate?
Oh don’t worry, they had dark chocolate there too. I only posted some of my many pictures. I could have stayed there all day. 🙂
I want it!!! Give me that Hersheys Kiss now!! Oh sorry, was over taken for the moment by the need to eat it…… PS. You should change that silly bird up top out with the Hershey’s… Just saying, make people crave more subliminally. LOL
It’s ok, you can’t be responsible for your behavior when there is chocolate on your computer screen. LOL. By the way, I can’t put a picture of Hershey’s chocolate in my header because then I would be running to the fridge even more than I already do. I am going to break my scale if I don’t control myself. 🙂
Oh my god you’ve been to heaven and you took pictures! I especially love the World’s Largest Peanut Butter Cup. I would like it to be mine but am happy just knowing it exists.
And heaven was a wonderful place!!! I keep getting irresistible urges to go back again. I bought a smaller version of the largest peanut butter cup, but it’s all gone now, and I miss it! LOL Shhh, I’m going to go and steal an Easter bunny from my son’s stash.
The continental chocolate made by the Swiss and Belgians is the best but they usually are fancy chocolates which you buy as a treat, rather than for eating every day.
My auntie had a confectionery shop in Glasgow’s Byres Road in the affluent West End of the City and made a very good living selling posh chocolates to the professional people who lived and worked there. So much so that she could afford to buy a house there – houses in Glasgow’s West End are very expensive. $1m will buy a 4 bedroomed house there.
There’s definitely money to be made from chocolate!
Wow, is it too late for me to change professions? It would be so refreshing having a job that I would actually consider fun. 🙂
Can I join the WordPress chocoholics club? I’ll bring Lindt truffles to the first virtual meeting. 😉
All are welcome :). Yummy – I can’t wait for the Lindt truffles!!!
I second your nomination – does that mean I get an extra Lindt truffle?
Sure! I’ll have them put your name on it. 😉
Crazy big peanut butter cup!!! A little too sweet for my liking!! 🙂 **
It was huge!!! My mouth started watering just looking at it. 🙂
I don’t understand people who don’t like chocolate…I still respect them, but I don’t get them.
I don’t understand them either! How could a person possibly not like chocolate? The problem is, I think I am slightly addicted to chocolate, and the more I eat the more I have to have!! LOL
i’m not a chocoholic, but do enjoy good chocolate from time to time. That peanut butter cup looks delish!!! 🙂
I know, I was really tempted to buy it!! 🙂
Went into my local Asda supermarket (owned by Waltmart) and they were selling Hershey’s chocolate. Bought the extra creamy milk chocolate and the cookies’n’cream. They also had the one with the almonds.
The chocolate I bought was not wrapped in foil and outer paper, but a plastic type wrapper just like Cadbury’s and had a UK address in Leatherhead which is where Cadbury’s is based. It did taste very like Cadbury’s Dairy Milk.
Yummy!!! Now you are making me hungry. I wonder if either of my boys has any Easter chocolate left? I will sneak into their rooms and perform a search! 🙂 LOL
Steal chocolate from children!!
Why yes, is that bad?!?! LOL. Actually, they know their mom is a chocoholic, so they are pretty good about sharing with me 🙂
