A chocoholic’s dream!!

Yes, the falls are a thrill to see when visiting Niagara Falls, but there is something else that is even more exciting, especially if you are a chocoholic, and that is the Hershey Store.  When we returned from our walk over the bridge to the United States, I noticed something on top of a building and stopped dead in my tracks.  It was a gigantic Hershey’s Kiss.  If you think I’m exaggerating, just look at the first picture.  It’s enormous!!  Now, keep in mind that we had been walking all day, and I think my hubby just wanted to get on our way home, but I begged and whined until he finally agreed to a quick visit to the store of my dreams.

After I started to follow Suzanne’s blog at A Window into the Woods and realized that she was a fellow chocoholic, I just knew that I had to post some pictures for her and all of the other chocolate lovers out there.  The light reflecting off of the delectable chocolate bars was a problem, but you will have to forgive me because I didn’t have time to experiment too much.

Can you see it?

I know you can't tell from this photo, but that peanut butter cup is about 6 or 8 inches in diameter!!

oohhh that peanutbutter cup is so mine

  4. So it was the side of the peanut butter cup! Very good! You should pop down to Hershey PA sometime. The whole town smells like chocolate, all the time! It’s a fun place we stopped at on the way home from driving to Niagra Falls one year!

  5. Yum! Chocoholics unite! 🙂

Great to see the whole cup I almost guessed correctly. I wrote recently in one of my posts (when I was accepting an award where you have to tell people about yourself) that my sweet tooth would fit nicely in the mouth of a T-Rex. Chocoholics forever!

They sell Hershey chocolate in an American shop in Glasgow (Scotland). I quite fancied buying one until I saw the price was 1.50 GBP which is about 2.4 US Dollars. Decided to buy a bar of Cadbury’s chocolate at 0.60 GBP instead.

I used to work with a woman from Florida who said British chocolate was much nicer than American chocolate. I have never tried American chocolate so cannot comment.

  8. Where’s the dark chocolate?

I want it!!! Give me that Hersheys Kiss now!! Oh sorry, was over taken for the moment by the need to eat it…… PS. You should change that silly bird up top out with the Hershey’s… Just saying, make people crave more subliminally. LOL

    • It’s ok, you can’t be responsible for your behavior when there is chocolate on your computer screen. LOL. By the way, I can’t put a picture of Hershey’s chocolate in my header because then I would be running to the fridge even more than I already do. I am going to break my scale if I don’t control myself. 🙂

  10. Oh my god you’ve been to heaven and you took pictures! I especially love the World’s Largest Peanut Butter Cup. I would like it to be mine but am happy just knowing it exists.

    • And heaven was a wonderful place!!! I keep getting irresistible urges to go back again. I bought a smaller version of the largest peanut butter cup, but it’s all gone now, and I miss it! LOL Shhh, I’m going to go and steal an Easter bunny from my son’s stash.

The continental chocolate made by the Swiss and Belgians is the best but they usually are fancy chocolates which you buy as a treat, rather than for eating every day.

My auntie had a confectionery shop in Glasgow’s Byres Road in the affluent West End of the City and made a very good living selling posh chocolates to the professional people who lived and worked there. So much so that she could afford to buy a house there – houses in Glasgow’s West End are very expensive. $1m will buy a 4 bedroomed house there.

There’s definitely money to be made from chocolate!

  12. Can I join the WordPress chocoholics club? I’ll bring Lindt truffles to the first virtual meeting. 😉

  13. Crazy big peanut butter cup!!! A little too sweet for my liking!! 🙂 **

I don’t understand people who don’t like chocolate…I still respect them, but I don’t get them.

Went into my local Asda supermarket (owned by Waltmart) and they were selling Hershey’s chocolate. Bought the extra creamy milk chocolate and the cookies’n’cream. They also had the one with the almonds.

The chocolate I bought was not wrapped in foil and outer paper, but a plastic type wrapper just like Cadbury’s and had a UK address in Leatherhead which is where Cadbury’s is based. It did taste very like Cadbury’s Dairy Milk.
