First of all I have to apologize to Gary at krikitarts because I got him all excited the other day talking about our big purchase this week. He was anticipating a new camera announcement, so when I gave the clue that my new baby had wheels, he was quite disappointed. Don’t worry Gary. I am hoping to upgrade my camera sometime soon too, and you will be the first one to know. 🙂
Anyway, we have been talking lately about going car shopping, in the hopes that I could get a newer car and give my old one (which is still quite nice) to my oldest son because he is going away to college in the Fall. Being a boy, he gets shafted when it comes to insurance plus he will be financing his college education through loans, so he definitely doesn’t need a car payment too. Although we were just going to start looking, we ended up purchasing a 2010 Dodge Charger. It’s not brand new, I know, but it certainly looks like it is, and it is gorgeous!! The mileage is very low, and this new baby of mine is fully loaded – V6 3.5L engine, all wheel drive, heated seats, built in GPS, satellite radio, leather interior, remote starter, etc. etc. So, you will have to put up with me bragging about my car for this one post because I have never had quite such a new car before. By the way, I’m looking for a name for my new baby. Does anyone have any suggestions? A car has to have a name, right?
CONGRATULATIONS!! OOOOOOOOOHHHH,,A CHARGER!!! IT’S BEAUTIFUL!!
My car is names “gem”..first car I ever named…but it’s so special that I call it “gem”, as in
a precious gem. You’re going to get so many compliments and so many name suggestions!
What fun!! Is it a boy or a girl?
Wow, hot set of wheels Cindy!! I love it!
You deserve it, you are a hard working mom and wife, enjoy your new ride, and bragging is totally acceptable, its a very hot car!! As for a name, I will try and think of something wild and crazy that suits you pretty lady!!!
Now, that looks like just too much fun! Umm…it’s monochrome…and you’re definitely a photographer…how about Ansel?
I like krikitarts suggestion but looking at this car I can’t help feelig it’s very masculine and Brutus immediately springs to mind.
I would name your new baby “Beauty” – that’s what she is – a beauty. And keep on bragging cause she looks, and I’ll bet feels like new. I’m soooo jealous. Our newest is already a teenager!.
Thor? 🙂 Congratulations and enjoiy!
Congrats on the new motor Cindy. Max or Buster?
I hope you will all forgive me, but I am doing one response to everyone. I just wanted to say thank you for the congratulations from all of you and for the name suggestions. You had some great ideas, but I still can’t decide yet. As one of my Facebook friends said, I may have to drive my new baby for a couple of weeks before the perfect name will come to me. 🙂
Congratulation with the new baby. It looks like an awesome car! That car has some energy I bet. Have fun (but watch out for those cops hidden around the corners ! I once drove a Mustang way too fast and was pulled over by the police. But being a foreigner he let me go with a warning. Might not happen every time…)
Thanks and yes it has a lot of power, but don’t worry. Now that we’re paying for the car, I can’t afford a speeding ticket!! 🙂
Congrats and enjoy!
Thank you and I am enjoying it immensely! I can’t wait to get up in the morning now and go to work – not because of work of course, but because I get to drive my baby!! 🙂
Super!!!! 😀 Congrats Cindy!!!! Looks like a fabulous car!!! 🙂 **
Thanks Xandre!! It is the most amazing car I have ever had. I keep telling my hubby that he’d better watch out because all the guys are going to be after me this summer in this car! LOL 😀
