Although the premature heat wave this week has come and gone, there are still signs of Spring everywhere I look. While home this week caring my son, I took time to wander around my yard and experiment with my camera’s macro setting. It was sooooo nice to be outside again feeling the sun soak into my skin. So, enough words today – let’s get right to my favourite shots. I hope they make you smile. 🙂
How can anyone who loves photographing not be out and about when spring is in full swing? Good stuff, Cindy!
Thanks Gary :). I was even barefoot. In March, in Ontario, that is unheard of!! I enjoyed every moment.
Wow! Great shots! I like the last one best.
Thanks Dor! I was thinking about you today. We went for a drive to a small town where they have a park built around the old train station and there is a restored steam engine on site. You would love it. I took so many pictures It will be hard to decide which to post!!
Can’t wait to see the pics… maybe post ’em all?
But I took 111 !!!!! LOL
I’m very jealous I just can’t get what I want from my macro lens 😦 yours are stunning!
Thank you so much. I appreciate that, but you know what? I don’t even have a dedicated macro lens. They were just taken using the macro setting on my Canon Rebel XSi and the standard 18-55mm lens. Don’t feel bad though. I have tons that don’t work out!! 🙂
Great Macros Cindy!!!! Loving the colour that is creeping out on your side of the world!!! 🙂 **
Thanks Xandre! I am loving it too – the grass is even green!! However, they are calling for frost tonight, so we might not be done yet! 😦
Loooooooovely! 🙂 Hope your son is mending quickly and feeling a lot better?
I’m so glad you liked them, and thank you for your concern for my son. He is getting better every day, although it was a rough go! He finally ate solid food yesterday, so he is very happy 🙂
Good to hear! Have a great week! 🙂
Great photos I can’t believe how close you can get with your shots! I really need to invest in a higher mm lens! We only have two seasons here rainy and blistering hot!
Thank you so much. Your wonderful comments give me the confidence to experiment more! Regarding the lens, these were shot with the standard lens that came with my Canon Rebel XSi. I just picked the macro setting and took a ton of shots hoping that a few would turn out great! I don’t think you have to have an expensive lens 🙂
Yep…that made me smile!
Well good, TBM, because I always like to make you happy!! I think I will be looking at these pictures a great deal myself today because the temperature has dropped to -5 degrees Celsius and it is cloudy and dull outside. I will have to create my own warmth and sunshine! 🙂
