A Formal Goodbye

Today’s post will be short and sweet!  I know, hard to believe from diarrhea of the mouth Cindy right? LOL

Anyway, before I begin a new series, the theme of which has been specifically requested by my fellow blogger, TBM, and in hopes that Spring is finally on its way (please, please, please), I would like to say a formal goodbye to Winter with my snow shadow.  You were more gentle than usual with us this year Winter , but I can’t say I will be sad to see you go.  Bring on Spring!! 🙂

  1. Me loves it!!! 😀 **

    • I thought you might!! 🙂 Hope you are having a nice weekend. It was my son’s 19th birthday this week, so we are going out for dinner today at a Chinese food buffet restaurant called The Mandarin. I’m going to pig out!! Can’t wait. 🙂

I like this! and I think it’s a lovely way to say goodbye to winter 🙂

  3. It was one of those ideas that just hit me and I grabbed for the camera, but my neighbours must have thought I was crazy standing there waving at my shadow. I’m glad you liked it! 🙂

Don’t scare us like that! I saw the title and thought for a terrible moment that you might be giving up your blog–unthinkable! I’m delighted to see that it’s totally otherwise and am eager to see what the new slant will be–surely every bit as good as it themes!

    • That’s soooo funny. I never thought of people taking it like that! But it’s really nice to know that I would be missed so much. Don’t worry, I’m here to stay – in fact, I’m quite addicted to this blogging thing. It takes up a great deal of my time, but I love it and all the new friends I have made 🙂

    • Awwww, thanks TBM. You’re a sweetheart! I have so many photos of the forts down there. It’s hard to know where to begin! I’m going to do jut a few pictures every day though, so it might drive you crazy!! :). Remember, patience is a virtue! LOL

I have to smile… I feel exactly the opposite! We’ve had a long, hot, dry summer, and I am SO ready for some cold weather! You are welcome to send Winter on his merry way down south – I’ll welcome him with open arms! 🙂

    • Your wish is my command. You can have Old Man Winter with my blessing!!! What is the coldest it gets down there in your winter? I’m curious. 🙂

      • zelmare says:

Thank you, you’re so kind! 😉 The coldest it used to get in the area I lived for 27 years, was around -4 degrees C, and then only very rarely, and only for a short while in the early morning. Normal winter minimums would be around 0 – 2 degrees, and winter maximums would be between 15 and 21 degrees C. So, not really the kind of could you guys get there!!!! 🙂

      • Wow, that is so interesting. I had no idea it could get that cold there!! It has been so strange here lately. On Friday, we were under snowsquall warnings and most of the highways were closed because you couldn’t see to drive. Then today they are calling for a high of 12 degrees C. Everyone keeps getting sick because the weather is so back and forth.
