Once my fingers got too cold to take any more pictures of the swan the other day, I headed inside to thaw out. As I was climbing up the stairs from the dock, I noticed a burst of red in the midst of the winter wonderland out of the corner of my eye and realized it was one last stubborn bunch of chokecherries encased in ice (at least I think that’s what they are). They grabbed my attention because they look like they are frozen in time just waiting for the warm weather to return. That’s how I feel too :).

what a lovely shot! I like your description of them.
Why thank you!! 🙂
I like this picture Cindy. But it looks like spring and they are thawing!
OMG, wouldn’t that be nice if we were already done with our Dundalk winter and heading towards Spring?!?! I know it hasn’t been that bad of a winter yet, but I can’t wait for summer!! Thanks bff!
Simply marvellous!!! I can see why they caught your eyes!!!! Super pretty!!! 🙂 **
Thank you! I just wish it hadn’t been so cold that day because it was a beautiful location to take photos. It was really quite stormy that day though, and if we had left much later we may not have made it home because the snowstorm only got worse. My sister-in-law says I should come back in the Spring, and I definitely will!!
So pretty! Like natural cherry popsicle =D
Yummy!! 🙂
I like what I see…Sweet shot ^_^
Thanks! It was worth freezing to death to get this shot. 🙂
